[Y/N] LOOKED AROUND the skating rink, she'd already fallen like twenty times, and accepted the fact that she'd have bruises later. She looked towards the game section, a spot of bright green catching her eye.

She stood, having already taken her skates off, her feet ached and they probably would for the next few days. She walked toward the games trying to be inconspicuous but failing when she gasped seeing the figure turn around.

He was so cute, his brown eyes staring intently at the game, his green hair as vibrant as the neon game screens that surrounded them both. His mouth was formed into a slight smile, his pink lips parted. His nose and eyes we're slightly scrunched by his smile, but it made him cuter.

The urge to complement his hair and start up a conversation took over her as she walked closer.

"Dude you're hair is so cool!" she said walking up beside him, a smile plastered on her face.

"Thanks!" he said not pausing his movements in the game, glancing up, then stopped paying attention to the game at all, giving it all to her. "I like your shirt."

"Wait, you're a fan of (favorite music artist) too?!" she asked, her face lighting up and she smiled wider. "What's your favorite song?" she questioned, eager to get to know this green-haired boy better.

He snickered before answering, "(favorite song) it's amazing."

"Me too!" She said ecstatic that she just managed to converse with a cute boy, then she remembered "Oh, I'm [y/n] by the way." she said sticking out her hand.

He took it into his, making her take a deep breath, his hands were so soft and warm and inviting. She blushed slightly as she felt a tiny jolt of excitement course through her.

"Garfield, but you can call me Gar. And that's a really pretty name...fits you well then." he said, whispering the last part. Her ears perked up at the sound of that.

"Did you just call me pretty?" she asked the dust of pink on her cheeks getting darker and her face getting warmer. Did a cute boy just call her pretty!?

"Well... I mean yeah. But just between you and me," he started scratching the back of his neck, then leaning in and whispering on her ear, "you're even prettier when you blush."

Her heart rate speeding up and her blush getting even darker. She bit her lip and looked up at him, him being a few inches taller.

"T-Thanks." she stuttered out, not knowing how to not make a fool of herself.

"So... Do you wanna play a few rounds with me? I got like three dollars left." he asked, holding up three one-dollar bills.

"I have a better idea!" she exclaimed, grabbing his arm and dragging him over to a dancing game, blushing slightly at the contact.

They then danced for the next ten minutes, being exhausted by the end, sitting down and breathing heavily.

"I'm glad we met green boy." [y/n] smiled at him, laying her head on his shoulder. He smiled, both at the nickname and the exhausted girl whose head was on his shoulder.

"Me too [y/n.]" he said softly.
