"So what's up with the excited energy today? I've never seen everyone so chatty for a science class before." Y/n asked Melissa as Milo walked in while discussing another Murphy's law incident which made her giggle upon the question of, "I mean how close is the nearest zoo?" After Melissa elbowed her gently she rolled her eyes, 'Closer than you think Zack.' Once Milo sat near her she smiled gently in his direction which made his heart pound a bit faster in his chest as their teacher walked in, "Hello students, today were going to be doing a special group project involving eggs." Pulling out an egg she explained, "Harnessing the knowledge of everything we've learned this unit, you'll build a contraption to protect your egg from a fall from the roof." She began to get oddly into her connection to her desk and then it got awkward as she caressed it, finally clearing her throat and implying that one day they would all meet their special person one day, using her desk as her representation and possible infatuation as an example.

"Anyway, to pass this project the egg will have to be perfectly uncracked and undamaged. You'll be working in this over the weekend and if your egg is damaged, you'll be graded on how well you harnessed the concepts we learned." She turned to her students after directing their attention to the chalk board, "You'll be in groups of three." Melissa stepped back as Y/n was stuck beside Milo and Zack, "So, I guess you three will be a team then?" Y/n smiled at Milo while telling Bradley who invited her onto a team named after her, "I'm good, I find the danger quite exciting." She added in her head as they walked away, 'Plus you kinda creep me out. No offense, but I prefer my friends to you.' Later going to Milo's house with a truck load squadron of eggs, "That's a little overkill." Zack commented as she stared him dead in the eye, "We have no idea of L/n's law and Murphy's law will do together on this project. Also, I want to protect all of our gpas from dropping okay?"

Milo applauded hee after she told them, "No egg puns please, brings back bad memories." As they tested the first egg which hatched into a bird because of Murphy's law, the first had inexplicably been struck by lighting with the second flying upwards and the third landing on the ground, and crushing the egg which had rolled down first. "This doesn't look good." She stated as the next few failed until Milo stuck an egg his pocket which made Y/n wink as their next attempt exploded, with her next idea being the winning one with L/n's law successfully canceling Murphy's law, until je tried to get down and almost broke the egg as his dad had crashed through the fence. "Wanna stay for dinner?" He suddenly asked Y/n who had blinked a few times but nodded in the end and met Milo's sister and mother, "It's a pleasure to meet you two. Milo never told me he had such a lovely mother and sister."

Sara promptly yanked Y/n away to speak with her about Doctor Zone and Milo's mom leaned close to him while whispering, "She's a keeper." Making her son's face turn red and even the next day he avoided her after they dropped Big Bertha to get their grade, with L/n's law keeping the makeshift egg shield from break until landing on a truck full of eggs and exploding in epic fashion, their egg being the one which survived the explosion. "Holy.....yolk..." Y/n stated while on the ground as she was splattered in egg with their teacher, walking up to Milo and hugging him for helping get the A even if the fashion it was obtained in was extreme, "You're the best!!" She snuggled him as he got drenched in egg but he didn't care, returning the hug and saying, "You make me a eggcellent person, Y/n."

She bowed while splattering more egg from her hair and onto the egg covered ground, "Why thank you, Milo. You make me feel like a grade a egg!" They joked around as Melissa rolled her eyes while Zack asked, "What happened to your policy on puns with eggs?" She shrugged, while glancing at the gushy and cute display of flirting between their friends, "Can't a girl put her distaste for puns behind her when that," she gestured to the cute display being put on by Milo and Y/n, "is freaking adorable and I'm all for it?" Zack shook his head while stating, "You're not wrong about how cute it is. They're totally meant for each other."

They watched as Milo laughed with his crush who despite also liking him, had been too comfortable with their current arrangement to give either up for something so uncertain, but that wouldn't matter....for long.
