"So that's Doctor Zone? Huh, it's not that different from what I expected." My hand was on my chin, as Milo excitedly rambled on to Melissa and Zack about why the movie was such a big deal, "Well, I'd love to go with you with Sara and the gang. It'll be the perfect day out with my best friend." My face turned little pink when I realized how that sounded but Milo smiled brightly, "That sounds great! I'll swing by your your place around two tomorrow?" My hand finally left my chin and I felt myself relaxing, "Yeah that sounds good, Milo. I'll be ready around one thirty if you want to come earlier." Leaving his house with my phone, I walked home down the block to where my house was and saw my younger sibling, S/n (sister) playing in the yard and building a rat circus again...oh god the horror from last time. "S/n, mom told you to stop making rat circuses. She has a phobia and as cute as they are, they're just going to cause havoc and crash like the other ones you made and sold to actual circus owners."
She pouted but being mute, had reluctantly let the rats go then stomped into our house, with myself following to see my parents cooking together. "Oh, Y/n! I thought you would want some early dinner since you probably didn't eat anything at your friend's place." My dad concurred, "I got off work early again and decided to help your mother out instead of volunteering to repair things at the homeless shelter." They sat me down and I ate silently until thinking out loud, "What should I wear to meet Milo tomorrow?" My mother lunged at the opportunity, since my older sister Harley (Likes to be called Hailey), never allowed her to be in her life because she hated L/n's law and the fact that she had it just because she was born female. "Who is he, did you go over to his house today, can I help you get ready for your date tomorrow?!" I pushed her away since she got really in my face, with her darker shade of e/c eyes vibrating excitement, "Milo is my friend and I was invited to go with him to the movies tomorrow since his sister and her friends aren't able to use the tickets."
She was still excited, "It's basically a date, sweetie. Let me help you get ready for it!" My dad didn't help matters since he gave me a stern look, "If he happens to come over early, I'll be the judge of if he's good enough for you my sweet baby daughter." There was no helping my crazy family, especially because even S/n was determined to interrogate Milo, and the only sane member of my family (O/S/n: Older sister) already moved out because of the craziness. 'Lord help me, please let Milo leave this house unscathed and without thinking I'm insane...'
[Next Day]
"Phew, I should be about ready and if I can just leave this house without getting anything on my outfit...then Y/n's parents will get the best impression of me." Carrying my backpack with its exterior comfortably against my fancy sweater vest and nice shorts, I headed out after my mom and dad wished me luck but it was more mom than dad. Since she happened to really like Y/n and disliked Amanda, who had recently tried to become friendlier with me. "Not like I really blame my parents for not liking her, Amanda is kind of OCD about certain things and she didn't like me until I became friends with Melissa and the others." Not to mention she bullied me a lot in preschool and elementary, just because she hated the chaos of Murphy's Law that happened around me. "She said her street was Sandler." Looking at the cross roads, there were three streets named that but spelled with variations and she didn't happen to mention, which variation it was. "I'll just take a guess and go with Sndlr."
Walking down the street, a pack of dogs nearly attacked me when the delivery that the mailman had landed in my bag, making me use the grappling hook in my bag to dodge. Hanging from the lamppost as they jumped at me until the package fell out, letting me swing over them and continue on my way as the smell from the meat lingered on me. "Well that's just great. My first movie date with my crush, and I smell like t-bon steaks." Right before I neared her house, a van carrying a bunch of spiritual items crashed with a lot of liquid scent incense splashing on me, making me smell like lilies. "Milo!" Y/n waved at me after she stepped out of her house, closing the door behind her almost immediately as she ran towards me in a f/c dress, with a white undershirt and woven black tights with matching black flat ballet reminiscent shoes. "Mmmm. You smell like my favorite flower!" My face felt holt as she grabbed my arm, and we went to the theater together with oodles of chaos along the way that was luckily cancelled, because of L/n's Law.
"Oh, wanna grab some pistachios before we head in?" She pointed to a cart and I agreed to get them for us, but Murphy's law once again almost ruined everything when the cart shot upwards, and landed right in front of Y/n while breaking the wall of the theater. "Ppffft, well at least you're here with me." She lent her hand to me instead of yelling like my sister would have, and we sat on a blanket together while watching the movie. "Hey.....um.....?" She was red as a cherry as she looked away while grasping my hand, "I....I really do appreciate the fact that you're here." She quickly added, "I'm not saying I want to be your....you know yet....but.....I'm not opposed to it eventually." Pecking me on the cheek quickly, my hand just squeezed hers as we enjoyed the rest of our date and I'm certain, she knows I feel the same.
