"A book?"

Camila looked at Shawn as he wiped his forehead after working out in the small home gym.

"I need something, a project..."

"Last I looked, you were a singer, a songwriter, a musician and an activist."

"As are you, and you are also an actor.  I'd like to be also an author."

"What kind of book are you thinking?"

"I'm still working on that....I have a few ideas, and when I get them into some kind of order in my head I'll tell you about them."

He sat down beside her at the kitchen counter where she sat at her laptop, and leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"I can't wait to hear all about it.  If that's what you want to do, I'm behind you."

"I thought you were about to talk me out of it," she said, narrowing her eyes.

"No, I just wanted to hear you argue for what you want, I would have pushed you further, but I'm exhausted."

She smiled and ruffled his hair.  "You want me to make you one of those disgusting smoothie things you like?"

He chuckled. "No baby, you keep doing what you're doing, I might not be any good at cooking but I can make smoothies."  He jumped up and walked into the kitchen, opening the large stainless steel fridge and pulling out a bunch of fruits and vegetables.  She watched him, noticing how pumped his arms were.  He looked good.  He was working on new music, not creating an album, but just following his creative urges.  She was jealous, she wished she could do the same.  She was back to square one, where she had been before he had helped her unblock before her last album.  Please tell me this is not going to happen every time, she sent up a prayer.

Her skype line rang and she answered when she saw it was Karin, one of her charity contacts.  She ran a foundation that raised money to educate disadvantaged youth along with her two friends Michelle and Tessa.  The girls were there too, tittering in the background and whispering at each other.

"Hi Camila, how are you sweetie?" Karin asked, shooting the other two a warning glance.

"Hi Karin, what's up with them?" she asked.

Karin gave an embarrassed smile as she leaned forward to whisper. "Well, they can see Shawn in the background and let me just say we are BIG fans!"

Camila looked over her shoulder to where Shawn stood on the deck drinking his smoothie.  He'd removed his t-shirt, it hung out of his back pocket like a big handkerchief.  His beautifully muscled back gleamed in the morning sun and he had pulled his hair back in a hair band. She was mesmerised for a moment then turned back to the three ladies with a smile.

"Well, I do sympathise, he truly is something worth ogling, but let's try and keep it professional!" she giggled.

"Right," Karin said, schooling her face into a more professional expression. "What I'm calling for is we are planning a large charity event including musical acts and as one of our patrons we wanted to ask if you could be counted on to join the show?  Usually we go through an artist's management, but you've always been so approachable and so supportive..."

"Of course!  Of course I'll do it!  When is it?"

They went through the logistics and Michelle and Tessa joined them, discussing the rest of the show. Tessa was hilarious and always had creative ideas to offer, and Michelle was lovely as always, and had the logistical side of things well in hand. Camila made some suggestions and it was Tessa who asked if it was possible to get Shawn involved.  Camila gave an apologetic smile.  "I would ask him, but he is set to do promo for his movie around that time, so I don't think he could make a commitment."
