Camila's hand was shaking as she put her key in the door and Shawn followed her in.  They were silent, but the electricity between then spoke volumes.  The house was cool as the air-conditioning had been on while they were out and suddenly she didn't feel the urgent need to cool off in the pool any more.  What had she been thinking inviting him here?  She just wanted a shower, a chicken salad, and a night on the couch watching Netflix with her best friends Ben & Jerry.  Camila, you big liar, her inner voice chided her.  You want that man, you are going crazy with wanting him.  Just one more night, surely that would be OK?

She was too scared to turn around.  She used her phone to adjut the temperature of the aircon and turned the radio on in the background, like she always did. "Do you still want a swim? It's cool inside, it's probably air-conditioned at your hotel too...."  His hands came down on her shoulders and he turned her to face him.

"What are we doing here, Mila?" he asked softly, staring into her eyes, his face so close to hers.

"I....I'm not sure, I did mean to ask you for a swim, that's all...."

He gave a half smile that expressed his disbelief and she sighed.

"OK, so maybe I was secretly hoping for more...."

"More....like this?"

She stared at his lips, so beautifully shaped and getting closer by the millisecond.  Her eyes fluttered closed as they pressed against hers.  Despite her inner resolve her mouth opened immediately, remembering what it felt like, what he liked, how it worked between them.  You traitor, she thought, as her tongue tangled with his and her hands slid up his back, enjoying the play of muscles beneath her fingers, then dipping below the curve of his lower back and into the waistband of his sweats, stroking the top of his very cute ass.

His hands responded, moving from where they sat at her waist and curving over her own cute bum and pressing her body against his. He had been trying to control his erection all day, she knew, she had felt it on more than one occasion, and it had driven her wild and pushed all the thoughts of the choreography and the music video out of her head.  She suddenly remembered Sara's words about it being good PR.  For as long as it lasted.  She didn't want that.  She really liked him as a person, and they had months together ahead of them, dropping the song, the music video and doing live performances and interviews and so on.  She didn't want their relationship to draw attention away from the song.

He felt the change in her, as she pulled away a bit from the kiss and he followed her cue, finishing with small kisses and then lifting his head.  They stared at each other for a moment, panting and then he stepped back. He wanted her so much it hurt, but they both knew the timing was wrong and it would be much more difficult to deal with everything if they were seeing each other or even just sleeping together, whether it was made public or not.  He would go home and brave the pool downstairs.  If he was lucky, the weekenders would have gone home and the pool would be empty, but he doubted it.  Maybe just a shower then.  An icy cold one.

At that moment, before he could speak, his single came on the radio.  He looked at her, startled.  She must have heard it, it was getting a heap of radio play and was rising the charts in giant leaps and bounds.  Did she know?  It was the song he wrote after getting off the phone to her that night in Toronto. He had recorded it as soon as he reached the studio.  It was an anthemic love song with a strong drum beat and great guitar riff, but the heart of it was piano, the way he had originally written it, and his vocals, poignant and pining, pouring his heart out for the girl he loved.

So did she know?  Did she know it was all about her?

"I love the song," she said softly.  She looked sad. "You really had it bad for her huh?"
