#chapter 10

I was hearing my phone ringing but the sound was so softly. I opened my eysye and looked around. I'm sleeping on the bed with Selina as Emma was sleeping on the huge rectilinear. I stretched my hands to grab my phone from the nightstand and picked up the call, "why do you even call when people are sleeping!" I literally shouted at the caller.

The person in the other end cleared his throat and said, "baby doll check the time! It's already one in the afternoon!"

"Are you sure! Wait lemme see!" I removed the phone from my ear and looked at the phone and it was indeed 1:03pm. "What the fuck happened!" I whispered but I think he heard it and he went on speaking, "I saw you yesterday night but you seemed busy so I didn't disrupt you. I thought of speaking to you today but you didn't show up on the dinning table for breakfast and I haven't seen you around so that's why I called." I kept quiet rubbing my eyes removing the remaining sleep away from them. Then a yawn escaped my mouth. I sat up leaning against the bed and I stretched up. Before speaking yyo the person on the phone whose voice I clearly recognized and I didn't have to check the caller ID to recognize that voice.

"So you are here? Who invited you over huh?"

"They say that men have ego but hmmm! There is this one lady who has an ego matching the bank balance of their family account!"

"Good morning too. I slept well and am also feeling good now and how are you?"

"Are you talking to me? Ooh sarcasm! Oh my God this girl is driving me crazy baby doll. But yeah am also good." He answered back to my sarcasm

"Hmmm!" I was waiting for him to speak but both of us were just silent. I took out my Bluetooth and connected it to my phone and wore it in my right ear. We listened to the sound of only our heart beats and none of us interrupted the silence which seems we both enjoyed.

He finally spoke up, "when are you coming downstairs Sara?"

"I dunno! I'm still sleepy James!"I said in a soft whisper

"If you keep on speaking like that I will come grab you. And what are you even saying!! Sleeping again. It's already afternoon. You skipped breakfast and lunch too. Am coming to get you!" He threatened but I didn't protest since I liked it when he seemed to care about me and me having my meals on time.

I kept quiet and he too was quite but I could feel that he was doing something. And that's when it hit me that he was walking over to my room. Before I could say anything my door opened and he appeared. He looked at me sitting on the bed leaning my back on the bed and my long legs stretched out on the bed. My hair was in a mess and all over my face and my chest. I looked at myself and I was still in my clothes from last night. I didn't even change WTH!!! Before I could think of covering my naked legs with a blanket, he got to me and sat besides me and his hand went over to my face and remove the strands of hair tagging them behind my ear and his hand remained on my cheek.

Just then, I saw both Emma and Selina stretching out, it seems they were disturbed by him opening the door with such a loud noise. Emma got up and looked at us with shocked eyes. I saw her so I quickly removed his hand from my face and asked him, "what are you doing here?!!" It was more of yelling than a question.

"Didn't I worn you that I'll come get you baby doll." He raised one eyebrow and smiled "dangerously".

Selina got up and looked at James, "Good morning James. Why are you here!"

"Oh my gosh what's wrong with girls and their attitude,"he ran his hand through his hair making them look messy. I liked them when they are combed and neat. I pulled his hand out of his hair and told him in a soft voice, "how many times will I have to tell you I like them combed and not messy!"
