I walked around the garden, making sure not to step on any of the flowers. Admiring the beauty of nature by myself. I couldn't help thinking about what the pretty girl had told me. Apparently, everyone here had a story once, a life. None knows their name, therefore they didn't know what to call themselves. She introduced me to other people. Specifically, those she spoke most to. They all looked so different, yet all had the same mindset. I asked them how long they've been here for, but none could answer. They lost count after many many years, which kinda scared me. The thought of losing sense of time, being stuck here until the end of eternity.

I walked into the thick parts of the forest surrounding the garden. No one was in sight out here, kinda weird. I found a pretty spacious area in the grass, and decided to lay in it. That's when I noticed, something glimmering behind the bushes. I hesitated for a moment, before standing up and brushing the bushes away. Is that... a book? I wiped the dirt and leaves off of the book, before taking it in my hands. It was pretty big, and pretty old. The old leather shined in the bright sun overhead. The front didn't have a title, nor did the edge. I looked over my shoulders before opening it. The pages were crumbled and old. One wrong move, and I could tear the whole thing apart. I turned the pages as delicate as possible, to not destroy anything. I came to a page filled with writing. Most was smudged, but the rest was readable. I silently read...

"I know I shouldn't be doing this, but I cannot help it. Someone has to do it, so I decided to sacrifice myself. If they get me, at least they won't find this. I know the truth behind The Void's escape 200 years ago. No one will listen to me, Nul and Ușoară are trying to silent me. They won't win this time, this time we'll spill the truth about the Sacred Library and their secrets. I have no clue when they'll come, so I ought to make this short. 200 years ago, when The Void's escape happened, it wasn't the captured Souls who fought through, it was The Divine's who broke the forcefield. They made it up, and blamed it on the poor Souls. I have no clue why they did it, but I'm gonna find the truth, punishment or not. What The Divine did, is unacceptable."

I hastily closed the book, as I heard faint talking and footsteps in the distance. I placed the book back to where it was laying, and stood up quickly. I wiped the dirt off my dress, and turned around to be greeted by some Souls I'd not yet met. I awkwardly waved at them, then ran off towards the garden. I could feel their starred on my neck like a burning laser. I sprinted past Souls, jumped over nature's creations, seemingly in a hurry. A Soul stopped me with his arm, asking why I was such in a hurry. I just nodded at him, then sped off again. Why was I running anyway? Did I feel... guilty?
