My eyes shot open, heart beating fast, body burning, mind racing, terrified for my life.
Feeling lost in a bed I've been in before, the room was dark, the blanket was black silk, the light was dimmed...
Not only was that a dream, but- now I have a new thought. How the hell did I get back here.
A moment after my realization, Leo busted through the door and appeared by my side is less than two seconds. He held my hand, and felt my cheek.
"You were having a nightmare, but you're safe now. Safe with me" pulling me in, he held me in a tight embrace as he stroked my back and kissed the top of my head. "Wait a moment, you're... Youre warm"
He then pulled me to my feet, and looked at me for a moment in observation.
"Can you still use your powers?"
I thought for a moment before doing a demo, running around to find a ribbon of sort and tying him up in it in two seconds flat.
"Outstanding " he said, flexing his muscles and breaking the ribbon, letting it actually explode. Swiftly he grabbed.my wrist and checked for my pulse. "My DNA, didn't fully take. You my love are only half a vampire. No wonder your blood still smells so strong."
"Oh... So what does that mean for me?"
"Nothing really, you keep your powers and you don't age but you still need your human nesecities. Like food, water, sleep. love... Sex. That's why you crave it more than you should." Taking the newly found information, I sat down on bed again and watched him like a hawk. Damn that man was beautiful. "So tell me... What made you scream?"
"I... I had a dream. Lilith came for me, and she killed me."
"Oh, baby" Leo sat down next to me, pulling me into his lap and held my body close to his "She could never, I've got you."
"I could feel it, I couldn't breath, my body hurt. I was human..."
"And it was only a dream, and on the contrary. I've only met one other half vampire, and they were stronger than I was. So know no Lilith could never hurt you"
Wrapping my arms around him, I held him close. Smelling his cologne and freshly showered body, sitting in his lap as he held me and told me nothing but how I'd be safe. I knew I was going to be fine, but now he's made me believe it. As long as I'm with Leo I'll be fine
