Hey guys,

Check out the multimedia box for some seriously sexy Greek gods...!

Ares’ immediately tried to go after her, but Ariel’s hand on his arm stopped him.

“Give her time Ares, she needs to think. It isn’t very easy for most mortals to be the cause of someone’s death, directly or indirectly. She’s confused and this must all be very overwhelming. Give her a week, we’ll come back to earth on her wedding day.”

Ares gritted his teeth, but nodded his head. Last time he was hasty and made rash decisions and where did that get him? Helen pushed him away and married Menalaus, she got kidnapped by that fool of a prince, Paris and then only ended up back with Menalaus who killed her in the most despicable and brutal way possible. And he, Ares, god of war, could only sit on Olympus and watch it all play out. He had no choice in the matter, Paris might have been a fool, but he was in love with Helen and would have treated her like the princess she was supposed to be. That was why he had sided with the Trojans, not that that helped since Zeus was against it and in the end Athena joined the Greeks and defeated him and the Trojans.

Ares was walking up and down in Hades’ throne room. Ariel was sitting on her thrown, her husband beside her, reading through some papers.

“Ares, won’t you sit down?” She asked quietly as her friend couldn’t stop his agitated pacing.

“Why can’t I just claim her and keep her with me like Hades did with you?”

“Because she will die like the last time you brought her here.” Hades answered him without looking up from his papers.

“But Ariel...”

“Ariel was destined to be my Queen and she was cursed and she was a descended from a witch. All this helped her to survive.”

“Ares, you do know that it wasn’t you who killed Helen.” Ariel’s soft words interrupted the fierce stare off between the two gods.

“What?” Ares looked at them in disbelieve. “I know I did, we were about to consummate our marriage and then...” He trailed off, his eyes glazed over at the dark memories flooding his mind.

“Ares, sweetie, we’ve researched this and consulted with the Fates. You didn’t kill her, her body wasn’t strong enough, no mortal is strong enough to survive in the realm of the gods for that long. Perhaps a few weeks at the most. She must’ve been growing weaker with each passing day. Didn’t she ever say anything?” She asked gently, knowing that this was a tender subject for the god to discuss.

Ares gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. “No, she didn’t.”

“She must have loved you very much.” Another fierce glare made Ariel hesitate. “To feel herself growing weaker but not say anything, hoping that she’ll make it to your wedding day. Of course if you had consummated the marriage, she would have become immortal like me.”

“I can’t let her go through with this marriage – not again.”

“Just be patient until her birthday Ares, she’ll get her memory back and she’ll be able to decide for herself. You forcing her to come home with you will not help.”

Ares sat down in one of the high chairs to the side of the thrones and sighed as he realised the wisdom of his friend’s words. He would just have to wait for Helen to call on him.

So this one is a bit short, but as long as Ares is in there, I got no problem... That man is FINE!
