This is the only chapter Apollo will be in, but Alex Pettyfer is so handsome - I just had to put him in the box. You know what I'm saying?

“You need to calm down Ares.” It was about the hundredth time that Ariel had told him the same thing. They were impatiently waiting for Helen’s birth hour to arrive because only then will her memories be restored.

“What if she doesn’t call me?” For a split second he let his insecurities show, he knew that Ariel would never judge him. They had seen each other at their weakest, it was what made their friendship so strong.

“She will. Didn’t you see the way she looked at you in Greece? She loved you without even knowing who you were.”

“She pushed me away.” Ares threw his goblet against the wall, the ambrosia splashing everywhere.

“Before that. Think about it, she let you comfort her, she was jealous of the way I was talking about you before you arrived. She didn’t let it show, but I could see it in her eyes. She will call you.” Ariel finished with conviction. If she got her happy ending, then Ares will get his, she will make sure of it.

“I...” He stopped suddenly, raising his heads lightly as if listening. His face grew dark and he looked at Ariel.

“What’s the time?” She glanced at her delicate wrist watch and gasped.

“It is half an hour past the hour of her birth. Why? What’s wrong.”

“I don’t know, she seems distressed, she’s pleading, but I can’t quiet make out what she is saying.”

“Go to her.” Ariel pushed him towards the door. “If you can hear her, it must mean that she is pleading for you. Go! Hurry!” Ares didn’t have to be told twice and Ariel blinked as the god suddenly disappeared. Despite having lived in the realm of the gods for so long, she still was not used to the way they could appear and disappear at the slightest whim. She took a deep breath and hoped that things will finally work out for her friend.

Helen couldn’t keep up fighting for much longer, her arms and legs were tired of pushing and kicking. Her face was stained with tears that could not stop flowing. Her face ached were Markos had hit her again after she had bit into his ear in an attempt to stop him. She was just about to give up when his weight was suddenly lifted off her.

She glanced around and saw Markos lying in a heap in the far corner of the room. She pulled the sheets up to cover her near naked body and frowned in confusion, not really sure about what had happened. She glanced around the room quickly and then she saw him.

Ares.

He was standing at the foot of the bed, his face murderous and his fist clenching and unclenching. His breath, however, was even despite having just thrown a man across the room.

Markos got up slowly, groaning and wiping the blood from his nose. It must have started bleeding again when he hit the wall.

“Who the fuck are you?!”
