Chapter 4- Close Enough

"Kageyama-kun, what class are you in?"

"Class 3"

You saw him walking in the hallway earlier so you walked with him to the cafeteria to eat lunch.

"so, did the volleyball club captain accept you?" you asked.

"not yet, I met that tangerine"

"Tangerine??"

"The orange haired guy"

"oooohh you mean Hinata Shoyo"

"and I also met that tall four-eyed jerk face from your class"

"hmmmm... Tsukishima Kei??" you said while munching your food.

"you know them?" he said.

"of course"

" that tall blonde?!"

"hmm, we're not close"

"salty right?"

"yeah yeah" you agreed.

"Tsk, gossip everywhere" A boy said as he passed by your table

"Hi Tsukishima-kun" you said.

He stared at you for a second as he nodded, and smirked at Kageyama.

"Hi there, "King" he said in a teasing way.

Kageyama gritted his teeth while clenching his fist.

"come on Kageyama, what's wrong with Tsukishima-kun calling you "King"?? There's nothing wrong with it right?"

"pfft you'll know soon L/n-san" Tsukishima said.

"why don't you tell me n-"

"L/N-SAAAAAAAN" the orange haired guy that was mentioned earlier shouted as he walked towards your table.

"ohh, Sho-chan"

"eh?? What are you doing with King?"

"Stop calling me King!" Kageyama said as he walked away.

"uhmmmm,what just happened?" you asked.

"are you blind L/n-san?" Tsukishima said.

"Oi Tsukki, calm down"

"Urusai Yamaguchi"

"Gomen Tsukki"

"Let's just go back to our classrooms... Byebyee" you said as you lost your appetite.

(Timeskip, after class)

"Oi boke" Kageyama said as he waited outside of your classroom.

"ara? King is waiting for his girl" Tsukishima said with Yamaguchi behind him.

"shut up Tsukishima."

"Kageyama-kun? What are you doing here?"

"nothing, just inviting you to watch our practice, i-if you want to..."

"I WOULD LOVE TO" you said.

"that's good to hear"

Once you have entered the gym, everyone was very chaotic.

"HINATA BOKE!" The one and only Kageyama Tobio said.

"oh look, the King is angry" Tsukki said.

"Tsukishima..." their volleyball captain said that gave him shivers down his spine.

"NOYA-SAAAAN"

"SHOYOOOOOOO"

You were about to go home but someone appeared in front of you.

"Hi, what brings you here?" he said.

"Uhmm, a friend of mine invited me to come and watch your practice..."

"which one?" he asked.

"Kageyama Tobio..."

"ohhh so you're Kageyama-kun's friend, Hi I'm Sugawara Koushi and you are?"

"L/n Y/n"

He turned his back on you and shouted at his teammates to get their attention.

"calm down everyone, we have a visitor"

"visitor?" some of them said.

"oh haha, King's girl" Tsukishima said while looking at Kageyama.

"OI SHUT UP TSUKISHIMA" he irritatingly said.

"tch"

"so, Sugawara-senpai..."

"hmm?"

You were cut off when two of his teammates joined your conversation with Sugawara.

"we want to be called senpai as well" they said.

"Nishinoya, Tanaka, go back to practice" Daichi said.

After an hour, the practice ended and everyone was ready to go home.

"wanna walk home?" Kageyama said.

"no thanks, I think I know the way now"

"oh, okay see you tomorrow"

"see you"

You walked away from him as he watched your figure getting out of his sight.

"The King got rejected? HAHAHAHAHAHA" Tsukishima said.

Kageyama just glared at him and started walking

On your walk, it was peaceful, quiet, and a few cars were passing by.

It was already dark when you reached your house.

You went inside as you turned the lights on.

On the other hand, Kunimi just arrived at his house as well when he saw a girl that went inside her house.

'A Karasuno student? Probably not Y/n...' He said to himself, it was dark so he just saw the girl's uniform but he didn't see the girl's face.

He just went inside their house.

"Akira welcome home" his mom greeted.

He just hummed in response as he was about to go upstairs and just lay in his bed, or sleep.

"Do you know? That we have a new neighbor? Geez, I didn't know that the L/ns will sell their house... Well they're no longer living in that house though..."

"hmm, okay" he said as he went to his room.
