Chapter 1- Past

"Akira-chan!!!!" shouted by the little Y/n.

"Y/n-chan" he said as he approached you.

"Can I play with you?" you said, you're telling him to play with you since you won't be able to do that for the next day, and the next day, who knows if how long.

"sure" he said, then grabbed your hand and walked to his house.

"Y/n-chan you look pale toda-" he was cut off when you hugged him very tight.

"Y/n-chan???"

"Akira we're leaving tomorrow" you said as you started sobbing.

'Leaving??' he thought.

"AKIRA"

"Tsk, You promised me that you're not leaving me."

"I'm sorry, we can still talk through the phone righ-" he cut you off.

"so promises really are meant to be broken." he said as he walked away from you, leaving you in shock.

"Akira!!!!!" you sobbed.

"AKIRA I PROMISE YOU THAT I'LL BE BACK!"

"Y/n-chan, what's wrong?" Kindaichi said.

"I'm leaving tomorrow and Akira doesn't even care...."

"W-what?! That's not true! He cares for you! He won't let you go!"

"just tell him that I love him... It's okay if his mad at me, I understand, I promised him, but I think I broke it.."

"Y/n-chan....."

"byebye guys, I'll miss you and- nevermind, bye"

(at L/n house)

You opened your door and went straight to your room, you were sobbing as you went upstairs so your mom got worried.

"Y/n what's wrong?" your mom asked.

"I hate you guys" you mumbled under the covers.

"baby, we need to leave Miyagi, you'll get used to it soon in Tokyo"

"I'm sorry baby" your mom said, "we're leaving in a few minutes" she added.

"WHAT?!"

"We need to go, go and say goodbye to Akira, you still have time."

"Mom he's mad at me"

"He will never get mad at you, he's just upset" she said as she smiled.

You ran downstairs and went outside, you were on your way to Kunimi's house.

"AKIRA-CHAAAAAAN" You shouted, but his mom was the only one who opened the door for you.

"Oh.. Y/n-chan, what brings you here?"

"Please, let me see Akira"

"O-okay, he's in his room.. I don't know, but he's crying.."

"I'm sorry"

You ran upstairs and knocked on his door.

he didn't open it.

"AKIRA WE'RE LEAVING LATER, WE'RE GOING TO TOKYO, I PROMISE TO BE BACK, I'LL BE BACK! REMEMBER THAT! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I'LL MISS YOU!"

He was about to open his door but your mom came to pick you up.

"baby let's go"

You cried again.

"byebye Akira-chan, I never wanted this to happen, please don't end our friendship, I'll find a way to talk to you someday.." you mumbled.

"baby, we can always call Akira's mom"

"it's different mom, it won't be the same"

"Let's go" you said.

'I promised you Akira...and you promised me'

You went outside with your mom.

"Akira you didn't say goodbye to Y/n"

"I-I can't"

"It's okay, I understand.. Let's just call them"

"Sorry Akira" his mom said.

"mama, onii-chan is crying?" Kunimi's younger sister said.

"hmm, it's okay"

"OI, KUNIMIIIII" Kindaichi shouted outside his house.

"Kindaichi, what are you doing here? It's getting late" Kunimi's mom said.

"can I talk to him? Please"

"sure..."

He then slammed kunimi's door and sat next to his bed where he's under the covers, crying.

"Y/n-chan said she loves you very much and said that you have the right to be mad at her.."

"leave me alone." kunimi said.

"but-"

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE! CAN'T YOU HEAR ME?!"

"Alright, alright, talk to you tomorrow"
