Effie searched through her closet and grabbed a pair of black sports leggings and her brother's baggy Harvard sweatshirt. Her and her brother had a very complicated relationship. When they were kids the pair were very close however, as they grew older they slowly drifted apart especially when Jamie got into Harvard. He used to be like her but as he grew older he turned into someone like Harry and she hated him for it.

Worst of all, he never once visited her when she was sent to  a summer camp to help with her mental health and substance abuse last summer. Effie struggled a lot and without her smart, caring older brother there to protect her. she constantly felt like a burden and suffered from anxiety. Her mother wasn't much help either and kept dismissing the girl like she was irrelevant to her. It was her first year away from Jamie and she missed him. She soon found out through her toxic mom that he had in fact gone to visit their family home in West Ham, but claimed he was 'too busy' to drive 30 minutes away to see his baby sister.

She shook her head and looked back into the mirror dismissing her thoughts, none of that mattered now. Jamie and her mother no longer existed, well at least not to her anyway.

Effie walked towards the church parking lot and stood around awkwardly. "You showed up" Harry walked up to her with a massive smile on his face. She sent him a quick smile back before looking down. "Are you oka-" he asked, looking down at the petite blonde "let's go catch some fugitives" she interrupted, smiling. Harry smirked and unlocked his car with the click of a button.

"Fugitive spotted on mayfield!" Effie shouted and Harry swerved the car back around and drove in the opposite direction. Effie got out the car and ran straight for the garden when she saw Helena hiding in a bush "I can see you yknow?" She laughed at the girl crouched in the dark green bush. "Go on. I'll let you make a run for it" she carried on laughing "thanks" Helena replied taking her time to crawl out "10..9..8" Effie started counting and Helena got up and ran into the distance.

"Did you catch them?" Harry shouted out of breath from behind the girl. "Uh no they made a run for it" she said pulling an 'oh well' face and walking past the boy back to his car, leaving him stood there.

Back at the Bingham house, the after party had started, as promised. Effie saw lots of teens outside by the pool, but decided on staying inside, she liked being alone despite being covered in bodies of teenagers. She felt alone. That was all that mattered. As she made her way to the bathroom to have a moment of privacy Campbell grabbed her arm "here" he whispered and unfolded her hand placing a bag of pills "you look anxious" he said before walking off. She stopped completely in awe of what the boy had just done. She started trembling, then sweating.

She took the bag and stuffed it in her pocket before walking off. She was sat on the bathroom floor crying her eyes out. She knew Campbell didn't mean anything bad by it. After all he didn't know anything about the girl.
