As the car came to a stop, Rose cut the ignition and we all stepped out of the cherry red car, slamming the doors shut, much to Rose's displease, and making our way inside. Rose and Emmett made their way upstairs to do God knows what, while I made my way towards the kitchen, putting my bag down and sitting on one of the stools.

Pulling out my phone, I swiftly call Theo and begin to talk to him about what had happened, relaxing slightly when I hear his voice.

"-and he just left. Sped out of the building-"

The sound of a door slamming shut stole my attention, causing me to whip my head around, and watch an obviously tense Edward walk into the room with a concerned-looking Carlisle following him.

"We need to talk," Edward called out to the house, knowing full well that everyone would hear him, a few minutes later everyone staggered into the room.

Rose and Emmett sitting with Alice and Jasper on the couch, while I sat in the love seat, phone still in hand with Theo listening in, Esme moving to stand next to Carlisle, who wrapped his arm securely around her.

"Edward has decided that he is going to stay with the Denali's for a little bit, while he figures out his... attraction to Bella," Carlisle explained.

"Attraction?" Rose scoffed, turning her head towards the window.

"I need to figure out how to not kill her," Edward continued, his body tense. "I can't risk killing her just over how appealing her blood seems."

"It's okay. It'll all work out in the end," Alice piped up, smiling at him. 

He glances over at Carlisle before giving us a nod and speeding away to his room, probably packing for his trip.

I quickly put the phone back to my ear and began to talk once more. "He's coming your way."

"I'll tell everyone," he said, "what about her? I mean what if she notices?"

I close my eyes and curse quietly under my breath, "we just... ignore it."

He lets out a sigh, "I'll probably stay another day, make sure that he gets here and I'll head back. I'll be back in a couple of days, hopefully."

I nod my head and smile at the thought of him back. "Okay, I'll see you then?"

"See you then. Love you."

"Love you too, talk soon," I said before hanging up the phone, letting out a sigh, and flopping back against the couch.

What the hell is happening, I think to myself, closing my eyes for a second before opening them and standing up, shaking my head. 

Making my way upstairs and towards my room, I made it to the door, my hand resting on the handle before deciding against going inside, opting to go hunting instead.

"Going out?" Rose asked, leaning against the railing. 

I nodded and smiled at her, motioning for her to join, which she did, gracefully leaping and landing next to me.

"I heard that Theo's coming back early," she commented, watching as I smiled and nodded my head happily. 

Both of us mindlessly chatted as we walked into the forest, stopping our conversation only to hunt.

Dropping the deer and standing up, seeing Rose a few feet away doing the same. As we both made eye contact, I sent her a smirk, my mind itching for some sort of competition, even if it was a small one.

"Race back?"

She nodded her head and we both took off, leaping under the fallen trees and through the dense treeline, both of our neck and neck for a large majority of the time. 

I let out a laugh as I pulled ahead of her, before quickly focusing on keeping my lead. Leaping over a small creek, I quickly had to duck over a large tree that had fallen just a few feet in front of it. 

As the clearing for the house came into view, I came to a stop and turned around, seeing Rose smiling and laughing as she did the same a second later.

"I almost got you," she joked, raising her eyebrow as she cleaned off her clothes, wiping off any stray leaves, a perfect smile etched on her face.

"Sure, you keep on thinking that," I quipped back, returning her smile. We both laughed and shook our heads as we made our way into the house, our smiles slowly fading as we thought about the next day.

Oh Eddie, what mess have you left for us to clean up, I thought, shaking my head as I stomped up the stairs and towards my room.
