I only could watch in horror as the ice creeps up my legs. It was bleeding badly. The pain was insurmountable. The ice was crackling up my body.

Rei was hitting her book against the crimson ice, hoping to stop it. However, it was inevitable. Miyuki was that strong; I could understand why our members couldn't defeat her. The ice kept crawling up my body, taking away my flesh only to receive pain in return.

A bullet traveled immediately toward the Bishop, only to be frozen in midair. Cursing, Shion kept shooting with great accuracy. Aiming to the heart, head, even my freezing body- Miyuki just kept freezing them, flying in unmoving air. Stopping the time itself with just her freezing, how powerful are the leaders of the 16 Districts?

From the corner of my eyes, I see Yuuki sliding toward me, putting her hand to the ice. Seeing a green magic circle, it was Code: Evergreen taking it's effect. My pain had subsided, but it's not stopping at all. Reaching my thighs already, I thought over what I could I do in this situation.

This isn't a game, this is reality I'm facing. My own life-no, everyone's life is on the line here. Creating a blizzard like shield, Kiriya and Raika were having trouble getting toward her. Slinking in the shadows, Raika came behind the Bishop.

"Nightmare Slash!" On her sword, a circle of small numbers surrounded the weapon, as masses of dark energy was being encoded. The power of a Code is a wonder to me, but one thing for sure.

"Lados." Turning around, Miyuki's arm had codes around it. A stream of icicle erupted from her hand, stopping Raika with ease. Slamming her into a wall, she slumped onto the floor. Miyuki started walking forward, leaving trails of ice behind.

The room was large, really. Using Raika's Code, we were able to create a large room unlike the small cramped space you had to stay in to ride the elevator. There was basically only an entrance, as the door to the Head was hidden with great magic powers. But at this point, I believe she'll find the door.

"Hello, Freezing Bishop. Your performances was grand as ever." I said with mockery. We were trapped, with a demonically beast and some injured knights. I could see Shion reloading her rifle, Kiriya rapidly changing his weapon, Rei literately contacting with the Leader that Miyuki had came. Raika is unconscious, Yuuki finally stopped the ice from growing, and me on the floor, with my icicle legs.

She completely ignored me, and the pain came rushing back immediately. It was crushing my legs, as if she wanted me immobile at all cost. What is the reason for me to be in this predicament?

I'm a threat. To get me out of the game as possible, the Bishop will conquer the pawn. Just like cat and mouse, the cat will eat the mice. But what does the mice do? Scamper away?

They outsmart the cat.

"Yuuki, how do you use the Code?" I whispered out, half-thinking that she couldn't hear me over the fighting of the Coders. Thank god she heard me, as she held her guns in her hands.

"The normal way is to say the words 'Activate', but those are for the normal Coders like me and Shion. It's mostly Latin for the activation, but depending on the weapon you're using, you can say it in Japanese too. As long you know your Code, then you'll know everything. Being a Coder is different than a normal human being. We have codes imputed in our body, just like the Philosopher Stone."

"Arcesso!" Right on time, Kiriya switch his rapier to twin guns, shooting it randomly, bouncing off of any surface to hit the Bishop.

"What is your Code, Daichi?" I looked at her, and she looks determined for the answer. A rhetoric question, but holds many meanings. Why didn't the Head let me go with the elements? Because I wasn't a Coder of elements. Why wasn't I left with Raika who hold stealth ability? Because I wasn't a Coder who battles in Close Combat. Who am I exactly? A Coder.
