Code: Safe

Right as soon I wake up, I seriously think I have a harem. Sleeping on the side of the bed and on chairs were Yuuki, Raika, Rei, and Shion, along with a few other girls. Looking at my arm, I remember what I've done before I went unconscious.

Code: Pathway, the power of time. Beta means to slow down time. Depending on that theory, the other twelve Greek Alphabet would have power connected to it, even more powerful than Beta. But, why did I have this dangerous power?

There was never a time that I needed the power of time. My parents were dead long ago from the Disaster, crystallized and was used in experimental processes. My life was boring then forth, only expecting excitement in my History Class. Was it then I thought I could be a hero? For this forsaken country?

Small chuckling escaped my mouth, where it just became to laughter in seconds. I was really going insane if I think I was going to be a hero. A hero is just an illusion that citizens have, that false hope they always want. If people wants a hero, then it's positive that the person is weak.

"Ughm.." Escaping Yuuki's mouth, it seems she was to awake. For one thing, I couldn't get out of this situation. With two girls on the side of me, and the rest sitting on chairs, I'm positively going to die in the matter of seconds.

"Code, Reimburse." Muttering in my mouth, I could feel the magic rejuvenating me. It was addictive, but yet, it was tiring to bring it back to state. "Alpha."

The cold feeling came back to me, but yet, distinctively different from Beta. It was almost to Absolute Zero, my teeth were chattering in a fast motion. But, there was no movement at all, as if someone manipulated the god of time to stop it. Stop time.

If I was really trying desperately to be a pervert, then I would have messed around with the girls around the room.  Unfortunately, being a pervert wasn't in my blood. But one to note for sure, I didn't know how to get out of this simulation or other dimension I was in.

All I know cold is freezing my whole body in this dimension. And I was helpless to get out of it. It was annoying to be like this for several minutes, or rather no minutes. Just as the coldness was about to defeat me, it suddenly disappeared as I could hear normal breathing from Yuuki. My cold was heating up immediately, as if nothing had happened.

"Nakamura?" Shion said groggily, before yawning and looking at me. Her eyes widened at the whole situation. I smirked at her. "YOU PERVERT!"

It was all good. For now I believe anyway. The base was running safely, and I was walking down the corridor with my new uniform. Wearing a school uniform, but taking off the blazer and putting on a long black trench coat, I was fitting in with the group. Despite being a newcomer.

Although, it took some days for me to rest, forcefully by my peers, due to the fact I used a strange Code that shouldn't exist. Or how the Headmaster calls it, Code: Pathway. It was a unique name that I find unusual, but others have different Code names that seems a little ridiculous like Code: Heart. What was that suppose to mean?

Fortunately, everyone was safe, although they freezes their butts off. Miyuki Kawahara is in prison's holds, although the members are thinking of having her executed. But yet, she goes under the agreement of alliance with Endless Paradox, so it seems alright.

"I see you're able to move around now." Shion came around the corner, leaning by the door. 

"I guess."

"So, you're entering Endless Paradox completely. Welcome to the hold. We have stupid members."

"I can see that." With the stupidness comes with great persistence and perseverance. 

"Well, you are to report to the Head office after this. See yah later, Daichi." She smiled at me and walked out. Meanwhile, my mouth was gaping slightly. For all the bad things that happened between us, we're now friends? Plenty of bullshit.

I went up the elevator to the office immediately. The Head was there, playing a chess game by himself with him with the white pieces. The black Bishops were gone from the board. A girl with a white witch hat sat there, her blue hair flowing.

Turning around, I could see her a better. Her turquoise blue eyes met mine eyes. Freezing Bishop.

"Welcome, Daichi Nakamura." She said sweetly before turning around to finish the game.

"Hello, Daichi." The Head said casually. For some reason, I could see a different demeanor in his eyes. As if he was calm and relaxed.

"Shin-kun! Stop killing off my Bishops." I could hear a cry from her, as she revived her Bishop back to play. They were experienced players, as they had all their pieces except for a few, and was reviving more queens and other pieces.

I raised an eyebrow to the Head who just shrugged his shoulders before returning to the game.

"Code: Pathways, a Code of Time. Be careful with it. You have sworn loyalty with us, don't forget." The Head mentioned before waving me off. Not wanting to stay in the room anymore longer, I went out of it. This was a tiring day for me, as I finally got out of the room to walk down the corridor.

There was a drop in temperature from the remains of Miyuki's attack, which was still long lasting for 3 weeks. I still haven't recovered from the ice attack, and was still limping my legs.

"Ne, Daichi!" I turned around and see Miyuki again. She was breathing deeply, as she fell to her knees.

"Let me fix that!" From Head, I heard she was very childish but yet mature at the same time. She is powerful, but weak at the same time. It was confusing for me to understand, but the Head just prominently said to think about Bishops in chess and understand from that. I sort of understand it now.

Ice appeared on my leg, as it gave a cooling feeling. Unlike the piercing last time, it heals the injury. Once the ice disappeared, my leg felt new as possible. Giving me a small smile, she ran back to the elevator to finish her game.

Well, we have a new interesting member right now.

Endless Paradox is ready to be back in action.

Yas, I was busy this whole week and wanted to write Fanfiction. I just saw on Code: Pathway, in like  5 minutes that it had 40 views when I first published it! Sorry for the wait! As you can see, this is like a filler for Freezing Bishop Arc, and will be starting Code: Okami Arc! The next will be a small filler. Remember, this is set during the Spring!
