===A Month Later===
Herobrine woke up with a fresh start.
He yawned, stretched and looked around.
He rubbed his weary, white eyes, and slid to the bed's edge. He lazily put his weight on his cold feet, then he walked out.
Downstairs...
"Good morning, Sir Herobrine.", General Zombrine greeted.
"Good morning too, General Zombrine...", Herobrine listlessly greeted, not bothering to look at the General.The General looked concerningly at his leader:
He was aware that Herobrine had been acting like this for a month. He never knew what's the reason behind his actions.
Zombrine knew that Herobrine was very cheerful (not the sweet cheerful type though.). He always had that sweetly-intimidating and very bright eye contact, and would keep his glare at you while speaking. Very much of an observer and listener he was. And Zombrine never ever saw his eyes' glow dimmer (literally).
He also knew that he never showed a sad face; he never even remembered seeing him as such.
For Herobrine, showing sadness is showing your weakness. And he hated such emotions; you're considered weak if you are sad.
The General, although had prior knowledge on how explosive his leader's emotions are, asked him a question:
"Sir, are you just okay?"
Herobrine gave him a glare. No, not that glare that would automatically say 'What makes you think I'm not fine?'.
It's a... A different kind of glare.
"I-I'm just okay General... No need to worry...", he lowly replied.
His General knew that he was lying: Herobrine hated stuttering.
And if his leader himself stuttered, he automatically knew that he was either shocked or nervous... Or both.
"If you have any problems, you can speak to me.", General Zombrine gently offered.
Herobrine gave a fake smile.
"Thanks but... I'm-I'm–"
Herobrine didn't finish his sentence: his tears had already slipped off from the corner of his dimming white eyes.
His General was about to open his mouth, but Herobrine had already teleported away.
========
Herobrine appeared in a wide grassland.
He knelt there on the spot and wept angrily, grabbing his shaggy hair, making it messier.
He was mad... Very mad at himself...
How could he kill innocents!? How could he feed their bodies to the Undead!?
Oh, if he could only travel to the past! He would've corrected his wrongs! This crime shouldn'tve happened!
It was already a month since he met his evil twin brother, and his mind was still shaken by all of the killings he committed. That he had become an instrument of evil himself.
He can't just tell his guilt and sadness to anyone... Especially on his Generals. He was afraid that they will go on against him, seeing him as weak and helpless as he was now.
But he can't contain all his feelings just for himself. He can't hide all of his pain that was piercing his steel-hard heart.
Or as he knew of himself– he doesn't even think he had a heart.
