Your breathing was finally back to normal and you were peacefully resting against George, your eyes closed, him humming softly to you. Eventually you both pulled away and he gave you a big smile, and you could almost feel yourself melting at the sight of his caring sweet face.

George laid his hands gently on your shoulders. 'You'll be just fine now, right? I'm here if you need me', he said to you in a low calming voice while removing his hands from where they were resting and pulling a folded piece of parchment out of his pocket, you watching him closely. 'Me and Fred have been working on this copy of the Marauders Map since Harry nicked ours', continuing, he unfolded the parchment and whispered 'I solemnly swear I am up to no good' so that the parchment slowly formed a map of Hogwarts and its surroundings. Your eyes widened and you pointed in awe where it showed you and George in the empty room.

'That's us! Woah', you gaped at it and he nodded proudly. You looked closer and, coming towards you and George in the empty room was none other than Fred Weasley, the other ginger bastard.

Suddenly George frantically moved backwards from you and snatched the parchment from your view just as Fred entered the room.

'George-', he began, and then he saw you standing with George in the empty room. George had failed to conceal the map and Fred looked at George, then to you, then to George's hand, then back to you with a raised eyebrow.

'I hope you aren't spilling secrets to that Slytherin', he said while scowling at you, a look of mild irritation on his face. 'She's no different from the others George'.

This actually really hurt. Despite you knowing that your cold stuck up look was all you showed, no one had ever actually bothered to get to know you well enough to see the good side of you. George looked at you and back at the map before swallowing heavily.

'The map showed her in the room on her own. I wanted to know if she was doing anything she shouldn't have been doing', He lied thickly and you felt your heart break into a million pieces - another emotion you had scarcely felt before. You couldn't believe that after all that, he had pretended he didn't even know you.

You adjusted your robes and pulled your green striped tie closer to your neck, rubbing your tear stained face with the end of it, before giving George a hurt glance and exiting the room as quickly as possible.

'Freddie.. I think I fucked up'.

You were 20 minutes late to lunch since you had that long episode, which hurt a bit to think about. Nevertheless you regained your usual composure, checked your makeup in the reflection of a nearby window and pushed the large doors open, entering the Great Hall.

There was plenty of food still sat on the tables, so you walked gracefully over to the same seat as this morning and took your place opposite Draco.

'Didn't even bother to check on me then Pansy?' you started quietly and she looked up from her plate of food with a judgemental look on her face.

'I had no idea where you went', she stated simply and put a piece of chicken in her mouth. This irritated you for no reason, and you could see Ron looking at you carefully from the Gryffindor table.

'So despite me being in serious need of comfort, you didn't even think to try and find me? Disappointing', you retorted bitterly and made direct eye contact with Ron. Pansy saw your eyeline meet with someone else's and followed it to where Ron was sat with Harry, Hermione and other Gryffindors. She immediately turned back round and gave you the same disgusted look she'd given this morning.

'Why are you looking over at Ron', she said hotly and as soon as she said this you slammed your fist on the table in irritance, causing Draco to look up from The Daily Prophet.

Pansy had finally hit a nerve.
'Its always about me in the wrong ways, isn't it Pansy? You're an awful friend, I don't even know why I trusted you with anything in the first place, you constantly suspect me of stupid shit and you've done fuck all to offer me your support', you snapped without a single intake of breath and, making eye contact with Ron again, you stood up and left Pansy shocked.

Finally, you had got rid of that stupid bitch. Making your way to the Gryffindor table, you didn't dare look back and give her any hopeful thoughts. You were absolutely done with it.

'Ron', you said quickly as you made it to the table. 'Can we talk for a second?'
Ron looked a little scared but nonetheless he stood up and walked over to you, Harry and Hermione watching you in suspicion.

Ron didn't make eye contact, but rather scratched the back of his head and looked at the floor. 'This is about one of my brothers, isn't it', he guessed and you nodded slightly.

'Sort of. I also wanted to apologise to all of you guys for being a bitch at all. Especially Hermione', you said meekly and he smiled lopsidedly at you.

Holding out an arm, he beckoned towards the table and said 'I think you'd better do that yourself'.

'So you're genuinely a nice person and that y/n I knew before was just an act?' Ron asked with a deeply thinking expression on his face. You nodded at this and Harry smiled widely at you.

'Brilliant. You're welcome to join us in the Gryffindor common room if you'd like, I don't think you'll be wanting to see Pansy any time soon', Harry offered sweetly and you smiled hopefully at him.

'Thank you..genuinely. It means a lot, from the bottom of my heart', you said appreciatively before quickly glancing to the far left where Fred and George were sat discussing their Marauders Map copy.

Hermione was looking at you closely and you turned back round, you could practically feel her staring at your neck. To your surprise, when you made eye contact she smiled.

'Thanks for apologising y/n', she said simply and you shook your head.

'It's no worries. I concealed everything for a long time but someone helped me realise that it was other people holding me back', you sighed and at this Ron tapped your arm.

'George feels really really bad', Ron mentioned and you looked at him in confusion. 'We all know y/n, George is awful at lying. Also Fred's his twin so he practically already knew before George said anything.'

You went a soft pink colour and sighed deeply to yourself, going over the episode again and again in your mind.
'I thought that after he lied that was it. It was the only time I actually had felt safe with anyone at all. I never got that stuff with my parents either', you admitted quietly and Harry gave you a kind sympathetic look - he understood.

'Talk to him, trust us. He really does feel bad about it', he said while nudging you and beckoning in his general direction.

'I spose I'll see you guys tonight in the Gryffindor common room and talk to him then?' you asked and everyone nodded at you.

You and Hermione had decided to meet on the staircase just outside the Gryffindor common room so she could let you in, and you'd never looked forward to seeing people so much. Everyone had been so welcoming and warm so far, you truly felt happy for finally letting your guard down.

All thanks to that ginger bastard.
