I'm alright if you're alright
I'm okay if you're okay~

'You know George', you started quietly as you and him slowly made your way to your second lessons hand in hand, 'Imagine what would happen if I hadn't met you'.

George stopped very abruptly as you said this and placed his free hand on top of your linked hands, spinning you round gently to look him in the eyes.

'Let's not imagine that muffin. We're here now and that's all that matters', he replied softly and you smiled up at him in bliss. He was perfect, and he was yours. Leaning down slightly to your height, he kissed you and you melted into his grasp for a moment. He gently stroked your face, tracing your cheekbones and bringing his nails to face your skin before bringing them back towards your ear and tucking a string of your hair behind it. The kiss lasted for a moment before you slowly broke apart and stood facing each other, and you stared into his eyes as he stared into yours.

Suddenly it became apparent that time was a thing, and you quickly looked at your watch. 'We're both late as it is to our lessons', you told him frantically, 'and I have Care of Magical Creatures which I'm supposed to be taking for my O.W.L.S'.

He shook his head fondly and stroked your hair for a brief second. 'We can skive off if you want. I have another place to take you', he suggested slyly, giving you his signature smirk.

'Georgie, I really need to-' you began to protest but the look he was giving you made you giggle, so you sighed deeply and rolled your eyes. 'Later? I know you' -you held your fingers up imitating quotation marks- '"always felt your future lays outside the world of academic achievement" but I genuinely want to do well'.

George grinned at you and ran a hand through his own hair. 'Alright fine, but it was Fred who said that, not me', he then produced a piece of paper out of his robe pocket and laid it flat against the wall that was encasing you. You could hear the quick scribbles as he wrote, and you felt a small dash of butterflies rush through your veins as you anticipated all the things he could have been writing. Not soon after, the scribbling stopped and he held the paper out, encouraging you to take it. Once you did he simply said 'don't be late' before kissing you swiftly on the cheek and walking away, leaving you reading through the note.

His footsteps eventually faded away and when the sound was completely gone, you held the note to your chest and smiled up at the ceiling.

'I wouldn't miss it for the world'.

Taking the usual path down to Hagrid's Hut, you began to admire the scenery in front of you. A wild forest of trees stood up from the ground, slowly blending from light green to dark green. Even further behind the trees two large sloping hills peaked smoothly, patches of grass laden upon it like a patchwork quilt. The path was very steep and you could just make out the collection of Gryffindors and Slytherins standing to face the giant that was Rubeus Hagrid.

When you finally made it down to the class, you were just short of 15 minutes late. Everyone turned to stare at you as you approached the hut, and Hagrid gave you a warm smile.

'Bit late aren't yeh y/n? What was 'oldin yer back this time?' he asked you in his lovely thick accent. You noticed some of the Slytherins exchange quick frantic whispers and you glared at them.

When you didn't say anything, something eventually clicked in Hagrid's brain and he widened his eyes a little, 'Oh er, right you are y/n, I've jus' remembered what 'appened. Go stand with yer fellow Slytherins now', he said carefully and gestured towards your housemates. You slowly walked over to them and positioned yourself between Blaise and Draco, the only two in the house who didn't seem to suddenly have a problem with you.
