Chapter 10- Is this a bad sign????

"What???", Anne exclaimed loudly.

People from the nearby table stared at us after hearing the exclamation.

I stared at Dylen in confusion , giving him the 'what did you just say?' look.

He gave me the ' you asked me to come up with an acceptable excuse look'

10 mins back...

"What took you so long to come from the bathroom? Are you unwell?" Anne asks me while drinking her hot chocolate .

"Nahh, guess I drank too much water", I say while sitting down.

She had already ordered my favourite chocolate smoothie with ice cream for me.

"Thanks", I say before taking a slip.

"I know your taste", she says and winks at me.

"Now ....spill it . What were you doing in the canteen?"

"Ah yeah...about that , he was just apologising", I say while pretending to give full concentration to the chocolate smoothie.

"Oh , that's weird... Why all of a sudden?"

Where is Dylen???? If I start giving her all the details...somehow we will end up at the topic I wanna hide.

Idiot..I thought he would be here in 5 minutes...

Shouldn't have called him ...

"Lexi??", Anne asked while snapping her finger in front of my face.

"Hmm yea"

"Also people saw him giving you a box of chocolates and if I am correct , those are your favourite. so now tell me ...what's the tea?" , she asked like a detective.

"Ye..yeah...the chocolate ..hmm "

That's when I felt a hand slide across my shoulder.

I flinch ...nearly falling off the chair.

"Hey hey , careful.", said the voice,while catching me from falling.

And I recognised the voice immediately even though we hardly ever spoke to each other.

And it was the voice I was hoping to hear as soon as possible.

I turn back and say , "Dylen ...hey !", in a way that sounded over enthusiastic to my own ears. but I was so ready to get out of here.

I hope he doesn't mess up..

"Hey...didn't expect to meet you guys here...thats nice" , he says with a big smile , which somehow brought a bigger smile on my face.

Has he done this before...doesnt looking like acting at all....

"Yeah..we were just chilling", i say.

"Oh ohk ...same ..would you mind if I join?", while already pulling up a chair to sit.

"Sure"

"But what's wrong with her expression" , Dylen asks while pointing out in Anne's direction.

"What?" I ask and I look towards her and there is sheer horror on her face.

Oh no.......Anne has been staring at us the whole time ....probably has even lost a few brain cells trying to understand whats happening.
