Chapter 7- Dylen

It's been a few days since the robbers incident and that was the last time I saw Dylen . I can't find him at school too. It's like the guy vanished in thin air .

Checked in the ground , canteen ...BASICALLY EVERYWHERE but Mr Dylen Brown is nowhere to be seen.

Normally I would have been relieved that I didn't have to meet Dylen and hear his trashy comedy and charm , but now, I am the one trying to find him in each and every corner of the school.

I have so many questions in my mind that I am not able to concentrate in class.

Aaah! this is frustrating . If I find this guy .....

"Miss Williams .....Lexi !"

I hear a scream . It's our math teacher standing right next to me and the whole class is laughing .

"May I know , which fantasyland are you roaming in? let's all go together.", he says with an irritated look .

" I am so sorry ..... I- ", I try to explain myself when a familiar voice interrupts.

" SIR , you have been called for staff meeting "

" Ok , I will be there in a minute" he says to the familiar voice , then looks at me and says, "I am giving you a warning this time, concentrate in the class ."

"Yes sir"

As soon as sir walks back to the front of the class to pick up his coat I turn around take a quick glance at whose voice it was .

And guess who it could be ?

It was Dylen .

The guy I had been searching from the past 3 days in every place possible has just nonchalantly appeared in front of me.

We lock eyes ...

His expression clearly gives off the vibes that he had been caught.

I point my finger at him and tell him to stay in the place he is standing and not to move.

After sir leaves the class I walk up to him and give him a big smile .

"Hey Dylen!, where were you ? I am finding you from the past 3 days!", i say in the fakest sweetest tone.

"Ooh! Actually ,I had gone out for interstate competition"

"Really? , I thought you were hiding from me ",i say in a confronting tone.

"No no not at all. why would I do that ?." he says laughing," Why were you finding me though?"

" Hmm...You said you wanted to apologize for something and I was curious, " I say.

I should not ask him directly if he knows about my powers . Let's take it slow . Also I'm starving and i cant confront someone when I am hungry.

"Oh, by the way, let's go to the canteen and talk. Shall we ?" He says while giving a smile .

"Fine!" I say in an excited tone .

In the canteen...

We keep our bags at a table and go get our food .

"Yea so ...Continue...What did u wanna talk about ?", I say while sitting down .

"Yea ....." He continues while adjusting the chair he is sitting on ,"As you know ....I liked you and you turned me down . Actually ,to be honest it wasn't a joke or a prank."

Suddenly I start feeling conscious ...

What does he mean? I am sure he is still joking, isn't he ?

"I know you probably still think that I am joking ...but I am not.", he says before taking a bite off the sandwich.

What the actual hell?!?!

My face starts to heat up and cheeks start turning red.

Aaah! what's happening Lexi, control yourself ! I murmur while trying to hide my face while eating .

"Did you say something?", he asks while looking at me

"No no , nothing ! Please continue." I say , still trying to hide my face.

"Ok,.... So what I meant to say is that I liked you , from like 2 years , that is from the time your brother shifted into my class."

"What ?!", I shouted while choking on the sandwich I was eating, successfully attracting attention from each and every person in that room.

"Yeah " he says while handing over a glass of water ," Calm down ...You ok?"

" Yeah yeah, I am fine , continue." I say while drinking the water and trying to calm down .

" Are you sure? Your face is red."

When did he become so caring?

At this point I have no idea if my face is red due to choking or something else.

I breathe in and out slowly for a few minutes .

"Its ok, I am fine , just continue what you were saying", I say , to distract him from seeing that my face is still heating up , even though I am not choking anymore on the damn sandwich.

"Hmm, ok then ...So where was I ?" he asks while giving me a confused look.

" Time my brother shifted to your class....", I say

"Oh yeah, so at that time , I tried to get your attention , naturally ", he says while shrugging.

"Uh huh ?" I say while trying to act calm and cool ," So from when is all this going on? How did you end up bothering my brother?" I ask , while paying 100% attention

"Hmm so..." he says while scratching his head and giving a apologetic expression, " Actually ".
