I sat there staring at that page

Wondering whether it had got lost

Or had lost it's way and has come back

Opening it, I didn't open a page-

I opened an year passed long ago

Which had been sidelined by the new memories

But was still there, waiting to be resurfaced

The brain didn't wash it away

Because it was waiting for you to come

Experience that beautiful year again

To make you twitch your lips up

To make you shed some tears

To make you realize what you had then

To make you wonder whether those people

In that page were remembering you

Or you are long forgotten amidst the new crowd

But then that moment you stop

And escape the world for a little while

In those swirling, dazzling yet vivid memory

Which goes back down the lane
