We stopped in our tracks. The door was closed. We stared at the wooden frame in awe.

"It's closed?" Cindy managed to murmur.

"Wait." I climbed over the tall grass to get a closer look at the house's door. "There's no glass covering the screen to the door, and the doors unlocked. It could've been the wind.."

"..There isn't any wind.." I answered my own question.

We decided to look inside the house, I grabbed a big tree limb and Estus shined a light inside the house while Cindy filmed what was happening.

None of us could get the courage to go inside the house, but we did see a rather clean area with a couch and a bed up against the window. The group stayed for a little while longer until Cindy checked her phone.

"Hey guys, we gotta head back over to your house. My moms coming to pick me up."

"Sure." We agreed and headed back to my house. Cindy's mom was already waiting for her so we said our goodbyes and sent her on her way.

"See you tomorrow at school?" I yelled to Cindy before she could get in the car. Cindy nodded and waved 'bye' to us.

Eventually Estus had to leave as well, and I was left alone with my mother.
