Well Wishes (Caleb Dume x Reader)

The Rematch

  You woke up in the medical bed with Ahsoka in the room with you. "You did good young one" She was sitting down and sensed you waking up. You had a huge headache but that was about it. "Remind me what happened?", you said in a soft tone. She giggled. "You blacked out saving your teammate from injury and causality. We rushed you here because you weren't waking up." "Oh wow", was all you could make out. "Y/N, you showed much bravery and unselfishness today. That's what makes a great jedi." You couldn't help smiling and being somewhat proud of yourself even though it felt natural to help him. You remember using all that force was easy, but now looking back you didn't realize how powerful it really was. You didn't know you had it in you.

"You need to stay here one more night until your headache goes away.", Ahsoka said. "Whattt?", you said in a disappointed voice. You couldn't help thinking about the tied score and being upset with not winning. "Trust me little one," Ahsoka said, " You will be able to rematch after you have healed." You frowned. Maybe helping him was a mistake. "And besides, when you get out of here, someone is waiting to see you.", she said smiling.

You were eager to see who Ahsoka was talking about. Was is Master Billaba? Or maybe Ahsoka's master? Maybe Ahsoka's master's master? You didn't know. With uncontrollable excitement in the middle of the night you snuck out of the medical bed. You headed towards your chambers in secret. You settled down and laid on your bed facing the ceiling. You were tired but at least you didn't have a headache anymore. Thats when you heard a knock at the front door. You sprang up in excitement and headed towards the door. Could this be who Ahsoka was talking about? It couldn't be. It was to late in the night. With excited hands you opened the door. Oh.

You opened the door to Caleb Dume smiling awkwardly to you. "Hi Y/N", he said nervously laughing. "I uh, I am so sorry about earlier,  do you uh wanna go on a walk?" You smiled back. "Sure." You weren't totally expecting to see Caleb, but you weren't totally upset about it. You put on your robes and left your room. You and Caleb walked in silence for only about 30 seconds before he said anything. "Thank you so much for saving me at the training course the other day. That was really brave of you." "Of course. It was no problem. I was only doing what was right." "How how are you feeling?", Caleb sounded really concerned about it which made you feel special. "I'm fine, tired, but fine.", you said.
" Oh cause uh if you want you can go back to your room I didn't mean to- " "Caleb!", you laughed. "I'm okayy" "Ok", he smiled. You two continued walking looking out the windows at the beautiful Coruscant.

While walking around you couldn't help but notice how you and Caleb were starting to become friends. When then you both heard two clone troopers ahead of you. Caleb gasped. "Clone troopers. They're scanning the area." You both knew you weren't supposed to be up at this hour, especially not you, you were supposed to be in the medical bay. Without hesitation you both were running in the hallways of the temple and running away from them. Stopping in what seemed like a clear hallway, but far from your chambers. You both continued walking out of breath but eventually everything went back to normal. You continued talking.

"So uh you tied the score for the competition huh?", you said with some jealousy. "Yeah but let's be real Y/N, you totally won with that ending.", he said. But you weren't satisfied. You never were. "Ha no. I'm not winning till we can get a proper match without me having to save your skin.", you said while smirking. You continued walking in silence. "Hey wait I have an idea.", Caleb said. "You wanna rematch? Ok fine." He started picking up his walking pace. "Caleb slow down!", you started walking faster. "Do you have your lightsaber on you?", he asked. "Of course.", you laughed. You two turned the corner to the training course. You gasped, "Not Caleb Dume breaking the rules! Caleb Dume you know we can't be here it's too late!" "I knoww, but I got to make it up to you somehow." You entered the doors and saw the empty training course. Caleb looked at you in anticipation. You sighed. "Okkk finee.", you said while smiling.

You both ran up to the control panel and set it to the settings you liked. You both took the elevator and ran onto the course. "You got this, focus.", you said staring at Caleb. Caleb closed his eyes looking at the podium with the start button. He reached his hand out slowly and turning his hand slightly as he pushed the start button using the force. A countdown started as you and Caleb glanced at each other, not as friends, but as competitors. You both ignite your lightsabers as the countdown runs out and the droids start coming towards you. You run up and slice them with a quick whip of your lightsaber as more come out in different directions. You and Caleb both slightly showing off hoping the other would see without making it obvious. You quickly glanced over at Caleb to see him slicing through droids and then quickly refocused, while you had more coming your way.

You stared getting tired but couldn't give up, as the droids started circling the both of you. The droids pushing Caleb to the center of the circle and you as well until the two of you were back to back. You both quickly used the force and pushed them down slicing through them. Then you both looked towards the right to see the last one. The score was tied and there was no way you were gonna lose this. In sync the both of you ran towards it slightly pushing into each other with their shoulder. You ran towards it and it was close, but you sliced it with all the might you had. You won by one. "Yess!!", you laughed. "Ughhh no fair." Caleb said laughing "I let you win!!" "No you didn't!!" You both fell to the floor laughing uncontrollably and exhausted. Then the doors swang open as you and Caleb looked up to see Master Billaba looking down at the both of you.
