Scarlets POV (coles suit). Possible trigger warning talk about rape. If you don't want to read it skip the italicized text.

"Scarlet" I hear Lilly yell and come running over to me.

"Hi baby" I say picking her up and hugging her.

"You look gorgeous baby" she blushed at my words and muttered a light thank you.

"Room for one more" I hear coles hopeful voice.

"Alway" I say with a smile.

"We have a lot to talk about" Cole muttered

"Well for now we dance." I say with a smile as I put Lilly on the floor and start to spin and dance with her.

Eventually Coles mom comes over and brings Lilly  back over with herself and her husband so Cole and I can have some alone time.

"Shall we" Cole says holding out his hand as a slow song starts to play.

"We shall" I say taking his gloved hand but still able to feel the warmth radiate through the thin material.

I smile at this

"So I see you wore it"

"Yeah about that. Thank you" I say kissing his cheek quickly and a heat creepy up my neck making my face burn.

He chuckles "I'm glad you like it" he then twirls me

"So my mom says you know why I left" he asked

"Yeah um not one of the best moments of my life"

"What do you mean"

Flashback

"Hey I'm going out" I yell hoping someone would respond

But nothing. Nobody was home.

With that I lock the house leaving a note saying I was going out and would be home at five o'clock meaning an hour and a half.

I then send a text in the group chat we all are in letting them know too.

But again no answer.

I walk down to a cafe about five blocks away from the house and sit down to get a hot chocolate and a muffin.

Everything was going fine until I went to go home

As I walk out a man about double my age grabs my arm and starts to touch and rip at my clothing.

"What the fuck are you doing let go of me" I scream

"This is payback for what your brothers and the Moretti's did to me."

"What the fuck do you mean you creep"

"Your brothers and family friends are in a mafia. More specifically the Morettis are the leaders and your brothers are second in command to high ranking officials and members."

The fuck.

I knee him in the crotch while he wasn't paying attention and then bring his head to my knee effectively breaking his nose and giving me an opportunity to run away.

I run home out of breath with tears streaming down my face.

Noticing cars in the drive I burst into the house.

"What do you guys actually do for a living" I yell at hunter  while all my brothers and Luciano looked at me concerned.

"Why what happened. Are you ok you look like hell" Leo replies

"I almost got fuckin raped because of you. I think I have the right to know if you guys control the mafia around here." There was a sharp intake of breath

"Sissy" Leo says sadly

"Yes. And we'll fucking kill him for even thinking about touching you." Hunter spits while Luciano nods in agreement with hard eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me. Why. Is this why Cole left." Everyone freezes.

But Luciano nods his head yes.

"Come here sorellina" Hunter says embracing me and shushing me in a soothing manner while I sob into his chest .

After that I started endurance running and training with my brothers to become stronger and faster.

End of flashback

"Angel I'm so so sorry that happened. I wish I was there to protect you."He says with sad eyes

"I'm fine. In fact that was a catalyst for me to start training and getting myself stronger. I want to help you guys in the mafia. Especially if we're going to be together" he smiled

"Oh we definitely are." He smiles

"Don't be cocky" I reply teasingly

"I thought about you every day for the past year" he admits leaning in slightly

"Me too" I say breathily and close the gap between us.

We pull apart after the song ends and just soak up each others presence.

The rest of the night goes smoothly with no bumps and we just spend time together with the occasional hug or kiss.
