Tomura's head fell limp onto my shoulder, his body nearly collapsing with every passing second. He looked terrible, his skin scarred and bruised past the edge of no return. "Huh?" I asked, my drowsy state not allowing me to take full control of the situation.
I hadn't expected him to come back for weeks, months even. Just a few hours ago, this man was laying atop debris in the middle of a battlefield. Yet here he was, back in my arms as if nothing happened.
The sight of Tomura's hideous look made me break down, rivers of tears falling down my cheeks like the switch of a button. I wrapped my arms around his deformed body, not wanting to let go even with all of the possible critters entering our house.
"You're back.." I mumbled into his ear, my words coming out in cracked pitches.
But he didn't respond, as he was too weak to. With a huge scar in the middle of his forehead, the size was mind-baffling. I quickly shut the door behind him, locking it and supporting Tomura as he trudged over to the couch.
I caressed over his head, worried that my hands were cold. Tomura shut his eyes, his chest barely prancing in and out as he took long breaths. His chest was exposed, the artificial muscles bulging out of him.
Bringing my soft lips to his, I planted one single kiss. Tomura wrapped his arms around my head, his big hands playing with and scrunching my frizzy locks of hair. He pulled me closer, pressing his lips intensely against mine.
The sound of a low growl interrupted our kiss, causing me to flinch and get up. "Oh! Let me get you something." I said, ready to head over to the kitchen and get Tomura food.
It was too late to order and have something delivered, and I surely didn't have the motivation or energy to cook up a meal for him, so I just searched recklessly throughout the cabinets. I shuffled the bags of corn chips and pretzels, before finding my favorite instant-ramen.
From over my shoulder, Tomura grinned menacingly. His eyes were kept shut, the unusual snow-white hair running down past his shoulders. "So, are you done with this crazy villain life?" I chuckled, before turning the stove knob.
"What?" Tomura asked, opening his eyelids and looking over at me.
"I mean, you've already won. Are you done, then?" I continued, stirring the pot of heating water.
"Quit making it sound so easy." he groaned, sliding his bruised legs off the edge of the couch.
Tomura came up behind me, his still-thin arms wrapping around my stomach. "You really want me that bad, huh?" he teased, massaging around my abdomen in circular motions.
I ignored his touch, despite the sparks being created underneath the connection of our skin. Placing the bundled ramen noodles into the pot, I separated them before letting the boiling water do its job.
"Maybe I do." I giggled, Tomura's pointed nose rubbing against the back of my earlobe.
"Forever?" Tomura asked, brushing my hair aside with his hands and exposing my cold neck to him.
The cheap ramen finished cooking, as the once hard noodles turned softer and tender. I poured the starchy water into a separate bowl before adding in the seasoning packets. "You'll see." I mumbled, finishing preparing Tomura's hot bowl of ramen.
Tomura scoffed, blowing his bangs up and out of his face. "Tch.. What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, taking the steaming dish from my hands.
He got situated upon the chairs surrounding the kitchen table, so I sat down next to him. As Tomura impatiently blew on the piping broth, I slouched my head down onto my palm. "Uuhh, I don't know."
"Only if you promise me that you'll quit hanging around these villains." I continued, my stare dead-set on him.
"I don't care about them. They've already helped me reach my goal, so I really don't see any purpose in keeping them around." Tomura responded, but I knew deep down he appreciated their hard work.
"No, I didn't mean that! What I meant to say was, only if you promise me that you'll quit this entire villain life as a whole." I stopped, fixing my past words.
Tomura was silent for a moment, his impulsive brain trying to make sense of the situation. His leg jittered rapidly, showing he was anxious about something. "How about we settle on a deal?" he requested.
"A deal?!" I laughed, Tomura obviously thinking of this as some kind of strategic joke.
"Fine.. Hit me with your best shot." I continued.
Tomura took another sip from his scalding ramen, the heat's impact burning through the buds of his tongue. He flinched away, not wanting to eat any more. "What the hell? Why is it so hot?" he audibly complained, before getting up and setting the dish aside onto the counter.
He still hadn't let me in on any "deal" he wanted to make, and I didn't even get the chance to push further. Tomura ran up the stairs, my feet quickly following after him. Nearly shutting the door on me, I swiftly slid into my room as Tomura chuckled and continued to play mind games with my head.
Falling limp back onto my cushioned bed, Tomura grumbled loudly as his stomach hit the mattress. "Okay, stop it." I paused.
Tomura's gaze fixated up at me, his crimson pupils glistening underneath the hanging string lights. "What do you want me to do, huh?"
"How much money do I need to donate, how much of myself do I have to give up for you to leave this unhealthy cycle of life once and for all?" I continued, asking Tomura all the questions to which he didn't have the answers for right now.
Tomura's hands seeped behind my back, pulling me closer until I fell forwards onto his chest. He turned off his hysterical act, his voice growing raspier and more serious. "I only want one thing." he whispered into my ear, as his fingers played with my hair.
I was caught off-guard by his unexpected strength, the tremendous power which had been building up over the course of several months. As I laid frozen and uncomfortable over Tomura's warm body, he finally finished his statement.
"I want you, (Y/N). Promise me you'll stay forever." Tomura mumbled.
