Unexpectedly Yours

Chapter 3

After Connor talked to his Mamo, he glances at the clock and it's still 7:30. So to kill the boredom of being alone he washes the dishes and cleans the apartment. His comfort zone which is his apartment is small and he doesn't have much things, it can be cleaned easily without taking him hours to do so.

After cleaning he sits down the empty chair and drinks water and he notice that he was drenched in sweat.

Connor: for God sake, why in the world did I take a bath before cleaning. You're such the stupid moron.

As a result, he took a bath again for the third time counting early this morning.

He immediately lays in his bed, grabs his phone and calls someone.

Cindy: How are you? how's the new company?

Connor: Guess what I was scolded by the HR cause I'm a few minutes late but thank Adam Sandlers , the Boss is not around so I'm partially safe. I haven't seen him yet.

Cindy: THE BOSS? hahahahah. As long as your boss was absolutely as late as you , you're safe. Sooooo . is there any allowance?

Cindy don't want Connor to know that she cares for him so she pretends that she doesn't care about him being 20 minutes late but she cares about the amount of Connor's allowance cause she wants him to treat her a meal though her family is rich.

She really likes to tease Connor but her secret remains to herself that she likes Connor. They are best friends since middle school, since then Cindy likes him. When someone looks at them, they will believe that there's something between them ,hearing it makes Cindy fluster but Connor in the other hand looks at Cindy as a sister that he really trust besides Josh.

Connor: Yeah, not much but it can make me eat 3 times a day.

Cindy: Just don't overwork Con, as long as it can make you survive, but don't forget to treat me ok?

Connor: Cinds, are you that greedy? My allowance is even smaller than your budget on gasoline and you're making me treat you a meal?

Cindy: please dear

Connor: Don't call me that. In the first place you're the rich one in the group. If I'm gonna treat you, are you down with some street foods?

Cindy: You know me, I don't like that kind of stuff but if its your treat then be it. hahahaha

Cindy: Unless it's a restaurant in the streets, then it's considered as street food right?

Connor: Oh my God Cinds, my brains not functioning now I need to end this call before I'll go crazy.

Cindy: Ok, just don't forget your first pay, you should treat me and josh to a meal, ok bye GOODNIGHT Connor.

Connor: Goodnight Cinds

Connor ends the call before Cindy presses the end button and all smile is in her face after talking to Connor.

Cindy: Why him ,of all people.

After talking to Cindy, Connor grabs his bag and search for something.

where did I put it? he thought

Connor tried to search the handkerchief in his bag but no sign of it.

The handkerchief was given to him by his Mamo when he was 17 to comfort him from loneliness of living alone and to remind him that when he feels anxious, the handkerchief will be with him as his Mamo is with him all the time. He believes that it gives him lucky charm, so whenever he goes to any interviews or his first job or first day of school , he always bring it with him.

His way too tired and exhausted to continue with all the cleaning a while ago, he just assumes that he just left Papo his hankie somewhere in the house. He plays some music in his phone, lays in his bed and thinking where he puts Papo but unintentionally dozes of to sleep.

The next morning he consciously opens his eyes and notice that it's still crack of dawn so he automatically grabs his phone but it was turned off .

thank God I woke up early . I'd be dead if I'll be late again, he thought

He stays in his bed sitting and looks at the wall clock.

Connor: Its still 5:30

I'm sure I saw that guy before , he wonders as he recall his dreams

He gets up from the bed , took a shower and prepares everything and he's happy that he's having a breakfast at the house to save money.

He heads out and went to the office hassle free.

AT THE OFFICE

Connor decides to go to work the whole day cause he doesn't have a class today. He texts Josh.

" I bet your still sleeping right now. Care for some drinks tonight? I'll text Cindy and the location where to meet up"

After texting Josh and Cindy he puts his phone back to his bag and walk towards the office happily.

It's 8:00 and Connor is already at the office starting his day with some coffee he bought at the cafe downstairs and he believes that nothing bad will happen today that's why he's optimistic early in the morning with some smile written on his face.

Seeing a person smile is contagious and can brighten up the person looking.

Kathy arrives at the office and walk towards where Connor is smiling.

Kathy: WOW, second day and you're and hour early , keep that vibe Connor

Kathy laughs as he talks to him

Connor: I don't want to be scolded again

He laughs while looking at Kathy

Kathy: Thank God your early, before I forgot have you seen the boss yesterday? I did not introduce you to him

Connor: I don't know, I haven't seen him personally

Kathy: He was here yesterday, he was kinda late though ,but yeah If I see him today I'll introduce you.

Kathy: Ok miss Kathy, but do I need to be introduced though? I'm just an intern?

Connor: Of course!! you're his temporary right hand man , you should be introduced and by the way call me Kathy . No one calls me Miss or Maam here kiddo. It's insulting in my part

They both laugh and Kathy left leaving Connor a little bit uncomfortable.

Hey guys Chapter 3 is up. I'm sorry to keep you waiting. I'm not feeling well mentally though for the past few weeks and until now. but i dont want to keep you waiting.

I had troubles on whether to continue writing this story cause i dont have the determination in continuing this for the past weeks but I do realize that i love what im doing and its just a challenge to be demotivated and tired. I did try my best and will be in completing this story. I hope that more readers will enjoy and continue reading this. I know I lack in many many ways. but watching that as time grows there are more reads in this story and I will never stop thanking you guys. I am now emotional writing this. again thank you and keep on reading guys.
