Connor is so annoyed by the fact that he is wet, sticky and not to mention the coffee stain that is very visible in his white polo that he didn't even notice that Alex told him to stay.
This stain will surely remain and i don't have enough clothes to wear he thought as he was about to go out together with Kathy.
Alex: Where do you think your going?
Both Kathy and Connor look back at Alex in shock
Kathy: Connor, he wants you to stay.
Connor: ME? WHAT? WHY?
Kathy: I don't know
Alex: Are you done talking ? Am I interrupting something?
Kathy: No. I'll be going.
Kathy looks at Alex with a grin while slightly pushing Connor back in.
As Kathy walks out of the room , Connor is visibly confused and nervous at the same time. He is pissed that today's the very opposite of what he expected it to be
I think i'll start searching for another company , I'll be fired for sure , he thought to himself while standing beside the door.
The room is so quite and the air is so awkward and uncomfortable that Alex has to break the silence between them.
Alex: So.... Are you just gonna stay there until God knows when?
With his head lowered , he just stood there and let go a small sigh
Connor: I'm really sorry for troubling you this early sir.
He still looks down while apologizing
Alex: Well, now you know
He looks at Connor and continues talking
Alex: Connor right? Haven't I told you before to look the person you are talking to? Do you know the basics of proper etiquette? Does your parents taught you that?
Connor remains silent and slowly lifting his head and looks at Alex.
Alex observes Connor and as their eyes meet, He was taken aback when he sees the guy with blue eyes that are drowning in his tears that were about to burst.
Connor: Again , sorry sir for not behaving well. It's my fault and I will take full responsibility of what happened today.
Alex said those words without knowing that Connor lost his parents and can't even remember a memory of them.
Connor was so angry that he wanted to shout and punch him in the throat but he sure is gonna be fired and be sued for doing that.
He just remains there standing and suppressing the feeling of being striped naked out of embarrassment and nauseous for no good reason .
Connor is about to say something but he feels like his chest is aching and he doesn't know why and he can't breath , but he's trying to hold the pain he felt while looking at Alex.
Alex notice that Connor is having a hard time holding back the tears. He is worried that maybe he's to harsh on him.
Alex: Connor I'm so......
Alex was about to apologize but was interrupted by the young man.
Connor: Sorry sir but may I excuse myself?
Out of concern and pity of Connors state, he just nods and in a split second Connor rushes out of the room.
Alex wanted to go after him but he is scared that it might get worse.
