Giant Confession

Chpt. 4 "Camelot Attack"

(One day after the events of the last chapter)

             Elizabeth and Diane were out on the town talking while searching for supplies for the boar hat before stopping and sitting at a bench they found.

Diane: "Hey Elizabeth."

Elizabeth: "Yeah Lady Diane?"

           Diane looked at Elizabeth with a knowing smirk.

Diane: "Tell me the truth. Do you like the captain?"

           Elizabeth blushed heavily.

Elizabeth: "I-I... um... yeah. I guess I do. But why are you asking? Didn't you use to like the captain as well?"

Diane: "Well yeah but the key word is 'use to'. I realized I have someone else who I love."

Elizabeth: "It's Sir King isn't it."

          Diane blushed and pulled her pigtail to her mouth.

Diane: "Yeah. During the battle when King saved me and used pollen garden, it turns out that was able to fix my memories and I realized how long I've actually known King and just what he means to me."

Elizabeth: "Well have you told him yet?"

Diane: "Well I tried to during the festival but I chickened out."

Elizabeth: "What? Why?"

Diane: "Well... I don't know. I just get so nervous and scared whenever I try to say it. What if he's moved on from me? I mean, I spent 15 years basically throwing myself on top of Captain and it must've been so heartbreaking to him."

Elizabeth: "I'm sure it wasn't your fault that you lost your memories. And as you said before, Sir Meliodas was the first person in a long time who treated with kindness. Sir King seems to be a really kind person so I'm sure he'd understand.

Diane: "But what if he doesn't. What if he doesn't come back again?"

Elizabeth: "Again?"

            Elizabeth looked at Diane and noticed the tears streaming down her cheeks.

Diane: "I just want to tell him. I love him so much."

Elizabeth: "And you'll get to. Sir King and Sir Ban should be getting back today if not tomorrow. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine." 

Diane: "*sigh* I hope you're right."

        Suddenly Meliodas ran up to them with Merlin, Gowther, and Slader.

Meliodas: "Diane, Elizabeth! We gotta hurry. There's some mountainous creature attacking Camelot. I'll explain on the way."

Elizabeth: "Really, that's terrible."

Diane: "Um... Captain. Could I possibly stay back on this one? If King and Ban get back, I don't want them to be confused about where everyone went."

Meliodas: Well... if the thing attacking Camelot is what I think it is then we shouldn't need everyone to deal with it. Sure. You can stay back."

Diane: "Thanks Captain."

Merlin: "Alright then. Let's get to the Boar Hat so I can teleport us over there."

           Merlin flicked her finger and teleported everyone except Diane to the boar hat leaving her alone.

Diane: "Well, I guess now all there is to do is wait for them to get back. I can't wait to tell King how I feel."
