King quickly stood up and faced his sister.

King: "H-Hang on. What  do you mean 'not quite'?"

Elain: "When the body goes through a near death experience the soul temporarily becomes able to travel between the worlds of the dead and the living. It's sort of a stage of decision. If your body doesn't receive treatment or you choose to let go, you'll die completely."

King: "I can't let go! I-I have to see Diane again!"

Elaine: "I thought you'd say that brother. You're always so caring and thoughtful. That's why you need to stop blaming yourself for what happened in the forest. We all know it wasn't your fault."

King looked down and scratched the back of his head nervously.

King: "I know that. It's just that I can't help but feel as if it is. Maybe that's just the guilt of abandoning Diane seeping into my perspective of everything else.

Elaine: "I understand. But you shouldn't have to worry about that guilt either."

King looked back up at Elaine in confusion.

King: "Huh?"

Elaine: "Come with me."

King followed Elaine to a clearing surrounded by crystal pillars that had a circular, bathtub sized pool of water in the middle. King stood at the entrance, mesmerized by how beautiful the area looked as Elaine floated over to the pool.

Elaine: "Come look Harlequin."

King walked up to the pool and looked into it. The reflection of himself was quickly replaced with a view of someone cradling another person's head. As he focused his eyes, he realized that it was Diane holding his unconscious body while crying.

King: "D-Diane..."

Vision of Diane: "Please... you mean so much to me. I never even got to tell you... I remember everything. I love you so much. I can't stand to lose you again."

King's eyes widened and he blushed as he hear Diane say that.

King: "S-She... but how?"

Elaine: "During your battle with Helbram when you used Chastiefol to save her. It's healing abilities not only affected her on a physical level but on a mental level as well."

King: "You mean pollen garden fixed her memories?"

Elaine: "Exactly."

King: "I-I can't believe it..."

Elaine looked over at King and saw him with a massive blush on his face while tears of happiness streamed down his cheek.

King: "She remembers me. And she said she loves me!"

Elaine: "*giggle* I'm very happy for you brother but there's a problem."

King: "What is it?"

Elaine: "Your body is dying. You have A broken rib, blunt force trauma to the head, and massive blood loss. If your friends aren't able to heal you in time then I'm afraid you'll die and you and Diane won't be able to see each other again."

King: "Well... The least I can do is hold out until the very end. I'm not letting go no matter what. I'll hold out as long as I need to for Diane."

Elaine: "Of course you will. But for now, come with me. We have quite a lot of catching up to do."

King: "*sigh* Sure."
