Love At First Sight

My name's Dana Vaughns. I just moved to South Carolina from Pennsylvania. I'm 17 and new so I don't know anyone.

Dana's POV

It was Monday night when all our stuff arrived to our new house and I began to unpack. My dad got offered a job and it required us to move here but I didn't mind. I unpacked all my shoes and snapbacks and put them neatly in my closet. I had a fairly big room which was good for me since I love to dance.

"Dana dinner is ready!" My mom called from downstairs. I headed down and sat at the table.

"So are you excited for your first day of school tomorrow?" My dad asked me. I shrugged and started eating.

"Well I heard it was a great school. I think you'll do fine." I nodded and finished. I went back upstairs and laid on my bed. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day.

My alarm clock started beeping and I got up. It was 6:15. I took a shower, put on a red shirt, my favorite black and white jacket, black jeans and my vans. I grabbed a snapback and went downstairs.

"Do you want me to drive you?" My mom asked as I was getting some orange juice. My dad already left for work.

"I think I'll drive myself. Can I take your car?" I haven't gotten my car yet but she nodded. I grabbed the keys and headed out the door.

I got to the school and it looked pretty big for such a small town. It looked.. out of place. I headed towards the doors to the office.

"I'm Dana Vaughns. I just moved here." I said to the secretary at the desk. She shuffled through some papers and pulled one out.

"Here's your schedule. Need any help finding a class, our students are always helpful." I thanked her and walked out. Just my luck, I was already lost.

"Excuse me, do you know where the Social Studies room is?" I asked a girl with brown hair and green eyes.

"Follow me, I'm heading there now. I'm Electra."

"That's an awesome name. I'm Dana."

"Well Dana, welcome to our school" I laughed and we walked to our class.

"Class, we have a new student." The teacher said. I waved and told them my name. She had me sit next to this girl with blonde hair and brown eyes.

"I'm Chloe. Nice to meet you Dana." She said.

"Nice to meet you too."

The school day dragged on and heading to lunch I ran into someone.

"I'm so sorry I didn't meant to run into you" I said. She looked up and her eyes locked with mine. I couldn't speak and I was shaking.

"I-I'm Dana." I managed to get out. She pushed her black hair behind her ear.

"I'm Lana. I'll see you around" she said before walking off.

Now I didn't know love at first sight was possible, but I think it just happened to me.
