Stay The Night

Lana's POV

I was walking to Math when I ran into someone.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to run into you." A deep voice said helping me pick up my stuff. I looked up and was locked with chocolate brown eyes staring at me.

"I-I'm Dana" he said. His voice was shaky but he was cute.

"I'm Lana. I'll see you around." I said walking to class.

When the bell rang, I headed to my next class which was Science. I walked in and saw Dana next to my seat.

"Hey, nice to see you again" I said.

"The teacher said we'd be lab partners if that's okay" he sounded nervous but I didn't mind. He is new and all.

"That's fine. Maybe we could get to know each other." I took his phone, put my number in as Lana Dawg ;P and gave it back. He smiled.

I went to Chloe's house after school which wasn't far from mine.

"So did you see the new kid?" Chloe asked us and I laughed.

"He's pretty cute. He's in our Social Studies class." Electra said.

"He's in my Science class." I mumbled. They looked at me.

"Too bad I have Gabe and Electra has Cole. Lana, you should talk to him!"

"I shouldn't. I may develop feelings and you know what happened last time" I said quietly. Electra put her arm around me.

"You can at least be friends." I nodded and decided to head home.

I was walking home when I ran into someone.

"I'm sorry." He said helping me up. It was Dana.

"You live around here?" I asked. He nodded and pointed to his house which was two down from mine.

"Funny. I live close to you and never saw a moving truck."

"We used my moms van." He said shyly. He was really cute.

"We should hang out sometime. You can meet my friends."

"I'd like that" he said smiling. We walked together and said bye when we got to my house.

I walked through the door and saw my dad. He had a glass in his hand and was watching TV. I tried to avoid him but he grabbed my wrist.

"Let me go!" I screamed.

"Where were you?" He yelled at me. I didn't answer and he slapped me. I winced. I broke free and ran outside. A few minutes later, Dana came over to me.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I shook my head. "Here, come to my house." I got up and walked to his house with him. I talked to his mom Joni.

"You can stay here for the night if you want." She said. I smiled and thanked her.
