Chp 4: The Preperation

Rydel's POV:
Dinner was great last night and the pasta was amazing. I always knew my mom was the best cook. Anyways still no school today, it's still flooded. Delinquents these days you never know what kind of trouble there gonna cause. The good news is that I have my first ever date today. O my gosh, what am I gonna wear. I look through my closet. Everything looks cute but I need a gorgeous, perfect outfit. I really like Ell and he feels the same way so I hope everything goes as planned. I guess I'll ask Laura to help me. Hopefully she's up by now. Might as well check.

Rydel- (knocks on Riker's door) Hey Laura, it's me Rydel are you up? Can I come in?

Laura- (opens the door) Yeah, I'm up but be quiet Riker is still asleep he was working hard last night on a new song.

Rydel- Okay, well just talk in my room.

Laura- Okay.

Rocky- Morning ladies.

Laura & Rydel- Morning.

(Back in Rydel's room)

Rydel- (pacing back and forth in her room) Okay, what should I wear because I have nothing that's perfect for my first date. What did you wear when Riker first asked you out? What should I say. Do you think Ell will like me as myself or should I up my game. O my gosh, I can't breath. (sits on her bed)

Laura- Calm down. Whatever you say or do will be perfectly fine because Ellington likes you for you. Remember that. That's how I felt when Riker first asked me out but look at us now.

Rydel- I guess your right. But just to make sure, can you go to the mall with me so I can pick out a new outfit?

Laura- Sure, but do you know where Ell is taking you because that would be a good start to plan out the outfit your gonna wear.

Rydel- Yeah, it's this classy restaurant at a hotel. He told at night the view is great. It sounds perfect, so I want to make sure what I wear is perfect.

Laura- Okay, I'll just tell Riker and your mom and then we can head out to the mall.

Rydel- Okay, let's get ready and I'll meet you in my car.

Laura- Sure, meet you there (walks out of the room and heads back to Riker)

Riker- Hey beautiful, morning. (kisses her)

Laura- Morning. So me and Rydel are gonna head out to the mall to buy her an outfit for her date with Ellington. Okay if I go?

Riker- Sure, you didn't have to ask me.

Laura- Well your my boyfriend, i want you to know where I always am.

Riker- Oh your so sweet. (hugs her) Okay, have fun and can you bring me back a smoothie while your there.

Laura- Sure, what flavor do you want?

Riker- Any, I trust you.

Laura- Okay, bye babe.

Riker- Bye.

(Laura leaves, says bye to Stormie and Mark and heads off to the mall with Rydel)

-at the mall-

Rydel- Okay, let's find a dress first at that store (points to her favorite boutique in this mall)

Laura- Okay, (walks into the store) how about this dress.

Rydel- (Falls heads over heals over the dress Laura held up. It was a baby pink dress that was tight around that top but was loose and flowy at the bottom. It had a sense of girliness with the white and gold details but it was still classy. Overall, it was perfect!) I..........I........................I.....................I......................I...............love it. It's the most stunning dress I have ever laid my eyes on. It's perfect, it's the one.

Laura- I'm glad to here that.

(Rydel pays for her dress and they move on to the next store across form them to find the shoes and other accessories)

Laura- How are these? (holds up a pair of studded flats)

Rydel- Nah, I plan on wearing heals and I want to find something gold so it matches my dress.

Laura- Okay I have an idea of what I need to look for now.

Sales Lady- Hi, is everything going okay over here.

Rydel- Yes but I'm having trouble finding a pair of gold heels.

Laura- It's her first date, so we're being really picky.

Sales Lady- Oh no problem, may I suggest these (holds up a pair of golden laced heels with crystal detailing around the front tip of the shoes)

Rydel- Those are perfect. (Try's them on) And they fit my nicely. I'll take them.

Sales Lady- Okay I'll help you with that and I suggest this bracelet and pair of earrings will match nicely (holds up a pink bracelet with white and gold beading and pearl, diamond earrings)

Laura- Perfect!

(Laura & Rydel thank the sales lady, pick up Riker's smoothie and some for everyone else, and head back home)

-at the Lynch's house-

Ross- They're home!

Laura & Rydel- (walk into the living room) Hey, we're back.

Rydel- Okay I'm gonna head up to my room, it's gonna take me the rest if the day to get ready.

Ross- Okay I'm gonna play video games in the screening room anyone want to come.

Ryland- Sure.

Rocky- Why not.

Riker- I'll be upstairs with Laura.

Laura- Okay.

-in Riker's room-

Riker- Thanks for the smoothie.

Laura- No problem.

Riker- So what do you want to do before Ellington comes to pick up Rydel?

Laura- How about you put on any movie you want to watch and we can snuggle.

Riker- (smiled) Sure.

Riker's POV:
Laura is gonna regret letting me chose the movie. Oh well I guess she'll just have to snuggle up to me when we watch the horror film. I feel so lucky to have her in my life. She's so perfect. Words can't describe how much I love her.

Laura's POV:
Oh Riker had to pick a scary movie. I had my head buried in his arms throughout the whole movie. Riker is so perfect I love him so much. I hope it always say like this.
