Chapter 2

"Shut up"

I was laying on my bed rewriting the messy notes I had taken in class when I heard a door slam. I turned and looked out the door to my balcony and saw Kags sitting down with his knees to his chest and his head down. I got up and walked over into his room.

When I walked in he looked up and I could tell he was angry. Still I sat down beside him and hugged him. He explained what happened with the Vice Principal and his tupée and how if he doesn't win the 3 on 3, he can't set for Karasuno. He also told me about Hinata and I listened to him vent.

"Regardless of that, we should get some homework done n/n"

"I started rewriting some of my notes so you could do that to"

"WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE TAKING NOTES!?!?!?"

"It's fine you can just copy off of mine" I walked over to my room and grabbed my things before returning to Kags' room.

After about half an hour I decided he was calm enough for me to tell him.

"Hey Kags, I forgot to tell you earlier but the girls team offered me a spot"

"And...?"

"I turned it down"

"What!?!? Why?"

"First of all they seemed really desperate to get me onto the team making me think they aren't very skilled. No offence to them. Second I just wasn't feeling it you know?"

"Ya I get it. I just didn't want you to have nothing to do while I had practice"

"It's fine I don't mind waiting. Besides it will give me time to do homework"

"Sure I guess"

After another half hour I decided to go back to my room because I was tired of writing. I closed my curtains but kept my door unlocked just in case Kags needed me. I got ready for sleep and layed down on my bed looking at the ceiling.

I couldn't fall asleep and I felt my mind drifting off to Kags. The way his hair looks in the sun. The way he can smile at me but looks menacing to other people. How cute he is when he's sleeping-

Wait did I just think that!? No! He's my best friend. I'm not allowed to like him.

But he's so hot when he plays volleyball.

No he isn't!

And when you look into his eyes and feel like nothing could hurt you.

I don't think that!

When he paces around his room without a shirt just setting the ball to nothing-

SHUT UP!!!

~Kageyama's pov~
Y/n closed the curtain to her room but my eyes lingered there for a second before snapping back to my work. I cleaned up, closed my curtains but left the door unlocked just in case n/n needed me and got ready to sleep. As I was laying down my mind started to wander away.

It landed on y/n. How she always has a smile for me but never others. How she can be so talented, yet so humble. How she talks in her sleep-

Wait what am I thinking!? This is y/n! Your best friend! You cannot be thinking about her like this!

But she looks so cute when she bites her lip when she's concentrating on something

No! She is my best friend and that's all I think of her, nothing more.

How her e/c eyes catch you off guard and make you lose your breath.

Stop that! I can breathe just fine when I'm around her!

How she doesn't care what other people think of her, unless it's you. It's like you're the only person she actually cares about and-

I'm sorry that I uploaded late but I have some family things going on. Also sorry that this chapter was shorter than the first one. The consistency of lengths is going to be different but I've already planned up to chapter 10 and I am super excited!
