Hale accompanied Venice going to the manor. While they're on the road, none of them is talking. Neither would start the conversation. Hale can see her face at the side mirror and he can tell that she's upset. "What's wrong?" he finally asked then she sighed. "I don't feel well today. I'm thinking of not attending this year's reunion." "Don't say that. You only get to see them once a year, and besides, you can rest for the two days before the date. That's why you're going early right?" he asked while keeping a smile on his face. "I'm going early to prepare the manor, not to rest," she told him annoyed but he just chuckled. "Okay, I'm sorry. Should we call for a doctor to see you at the manor then?" he suggested that made Venice spin towards him. "You do know I hate that, don't you?" she threatened. "But if you won't go back, who would oversee the reunion?" "Fine," she grunted.
When they got to the manor, Hale helped her with her baggage. "Won't you really join us this year?" she asked like a kid while her arms are around his neck. "I'm sorry darling," he sighed. "You'll be one of us soon so why don't you at least spare the date to get to know my family?" "You know how badly I wanted to do that but I can't also ignore my job." "I'm not asking you to ignore your job. All I'm asking is for you to join us just this year. You've been turning down all our invitations for the past years even if we're already engaged," she cried and pulled off but Hale grabbed her hand and enveloped her inside his arms. "I'm so sorry. I'll make it up to you afterwards. I promise." Venice pulled off in anger. "You don't keep promises!" she snapped and slammed the door behind her. Hale just sighed and shook his head then drove away.
That hellish night when everyone was shot to death and burned, after she drenched herself with the rain. She went back inside the manor to retrieve something from her safe. While passing by the corpses, she saw her younger twin sister. When their parents separated, her father took her while her mother took Vienna. Vienna was forgotten since then, but now that she want to make herself known to the clan, this happened. Venice made her wear her locket and ring. After she confirmed the silicone mask in the safe. She left and killed those three that set the manor afire.
Venice then wore that silicone mask she made a few hours before the start of the party. She was supposed to use it to go undercover on another mission but her machine malfunctioned and burned the half-done skin. "You'll come in handy this time." She wore the mask and went to the mansion where Gideon and Faile are waiting in the computer room. They were busy making a chip that will help a person forget the things it wanted to forget and retain what it wanted to retain. While they're at it, Venice busied herself in editing the final report of the investigation. They still did an autopsy on the bodies that were found last. They then found out that it was Vienna who was found and not Venice. She finished and sent it to the team leader which was given to Luigi. The report says about the brain of the massacre is someone close to the main family. The team leader edited it again taking that off which was sent to Hale next.
She then made a letter to the character she will act along with her seal and also to Faile and Gideon. She then helped them program the chip, covered with false hair, which was later on attached to the base of her hair before the peak of her nape. She managed all those days being Yleine but when Venice is needed, the chip will be detached. But the chip won't be able to control her emotions too since her heart has its own will. So whenever she gets upset, she attacks anyone near her.
While Hale is out in the hallway from his office, he caught a glimpse of Venice staring at him with immeasurable blood lust. He immediately went after her but she was already gone. He then asked his brother Dale to look for her. While his other brothers deal with the officers of SEAL they needed. He's been having nightmares of her ever since. He kept quiet about it and kept on telling himself that she must've been his imagination but his fear won't subside. The news about Yleine sent his heart racing but after confirming on his own, he managed to calm down a little. He was then set free by his fear when he heard about her death.
He's never seen Venice wearing such gaze that could make you feel like your heart is being squeezed and your blood is being sucked out. He never saw her in action but being in touch with those she's working with, they can only see fear in them as if they've just worked with a living devil. They say she surpasses Tiger, her aide, and even her parents who are top in combat. Her beast mode gets activated once she sees blood either it be hers or anyone else's.
Hale believed it after he got his finger cut while preparing breakfast for Venice. He could totally feel that menacing aura prying behind him that sent his heart beating nervously. When he turned around, he saw Venice smiling at her but with her eyes closed. He can really feel it coming from her and also noticed how she strongly grip the side of the chair she's sitting at. He quickly disinfected his cut and wrapped it up. When he got back, she no longer possess it and is up from her seat preparing coffee for the both of them. Secretly, he glanced at the side of that chair and saw the deep mark made by her fingers. When Venice were to sit on it again, the wooden chair was broken into half.
