Chap 20

Venice and her sister Vienna has been training since they were ten years of age by their father. Veronica, their mother, says nothing against it since she herself has been trained at an even younger age so she can protect herself when the situation calls for it. But not until they were both put to a mock battle, the two of them against street monsters, inside a cage where there is no way out. Vienna, being slower, got hit first making her cough out blood. Venice saw it and smelt it, strangely she felt aroused by that sight. But being sisters, she doesn't want to hurt her. She took down every one in front of her while keeping her sister behind her out of her sight. Veronica immediately had Vienna taken out while Venice is busy making those group of people bleed to death. She was put to sleep after Luigi pressed her pressure point.

Since that day, the twin's training stopped and William's fight with Veronica started. William was amazed by how his daughter fought that day. Everything he taught was seen in that ring and wanted to nurture her more and send her to class S missions someday. Veronica is against his idea and they ended up splitting with their children. That was when Luigi began as Venice's aide. Venice did not join the military like her mother asked but it didn't stop her and her father on the underground jobs they've been doing. Venice along with an elite team are being sent to war mainly aiming for the leaders of both sides. In a nutshell, she works as an agent. They have killed countless people related and unrelated. Once Venice is at it, there's no stopping her. That's why Luigi is sent with her to shut down her berserk mode.

Venice only stopped when her father retired early from service and began learning to run the business of the family that has been entrusted to them. Then on an alumni homecoming, Venice met Hale who's the son of her father's best friend and best rival as well. Their engagement was decided then. While managing all the business and their own personal fort, Venice decided to work as Hale's secretary in his office since he's too busy and is not able to spare time for her. Luigi was then sent afterwards to keep an eye on Venice and to work as well for an extra income. He's gaining quite a sum of a money just by looking after her.

Luigi is one of those people who told Hale about Venice's hidden devil and he made sure Hale won't forget about it. He can tell that Hale's up to something but can't tell if it's good or not so he's ensuring a strong base where Hale is frail.

Venice is wearing that wide toothy grin and those devil gaze as she jumps from one person to another spilling their blood. Gideon took Hale's parents into safety as Venice told him before they enter. Her parents are alive, thus, they will live too. Veronica and her ninjas left before Venice even started. Faile and Gideon were hiding too while watching her from above. While she's busy in her manslaughter, Hale's brothers tried to help him escape but they were all shot down one by one. It's just Hale who's left now.

Luigi and William came late. Before one of them could ever make a sound, Faile and Gideon covered their mouths and gestured to the blood-soaked lady downstairs facing Hale. Luigi and William were about to go down and stop her but they were both pushed back behind the doors. "You do know well that if you go there now, there's a high chance for you to be killed," Faile whispered angrily. "Why are you letting her do this?!" Luigi asked whispering too. "You know why she's doing this, Tiger," Gideon told him instead. "She saw them burn to death in front of her and she miraculously survived. For her, the sole reason for that is to avenge them. You should know yourself how she's being killed by guilt for not being able to save anyone," Faile added then thought, because she only kill to save. That's the only thing she know when it comes to saving. By plucking the bad roots, it won't bear fruit.

Faile and Gideon are members of the elite team who has been accompanying Venice on her missions. Luigi and William don't know of their real faces since all of them uses silicone mask to conceal it. They only show their faces to Venice. Ever since she became Yleine, they've stopped using masks. She only trusts those she knows that can be trusted. And they, on the other hand, is loyal to her too not because they fear her but because they believe she's also a human and not just a killing machine doll.

But right now, she's not doing it to save but to avenge her family. This is the second time.

"Two devils are facing each other now, I wonder who will win," Venice sneered. Faile gave Gideon the signal to fetch Hale's parents and Venice's mother. She's calmed down now. She never speak when she's on berserk. "Just kill me, Venice," Hale told her who's already given up. He knows he can't top her. "That quick?" she said asking for confirmation. "I want you to suffer!" she shouted and looked at him with those tear-filled eyes. "I want you to suffer as much as I did! I trusted you! I loved you! And you kill my family just for power and fame? Fuck you!"

"I could give you those Hale! If you just asked me I will give it all to you! But why do you need to kill my family?! Why do they need to die?! Why does it have to be you?!"

"Because I don't want your help!" Hale shouted back.

"I've already settled the score between our family, but I'm not done with you yet," she snarled and raised her gun. "Then I'll take you with me," Hale responded and pointed his gun towards her. "Stop!!!" their parents shouted and quickly ran down the stairs to their child. Both fathers took the gun away from their children and both mothers tried to calm them down. But the hatred between them never wavered and are still glaring at each other.

"Baby, please, listen to me," Veronica pleaded while standing in front of her daughter. "You've already done your revenge, okay?" "Son, look at me, hey," Hale's mother made him look at her by pulling down his head with her hands. "Enough of this already, please." Both parents took their child away one after the other. None of them tried to clean up the mess nor discuss who is responsible. They just left quietly.
