Luigi never did see Yleine again since that day. And along with his worries, he never got to decode the poem yet nor does he know why it was only given to him. William has been busy too ever since Venice and Vienna died. They're his only heirs to all of his belongings and if worse comes to worst, he's already prepared to give it all to Luigi. William also retrieved everything that his daughter and Luigi left at Hale's office may it be from a useless paperclip to loads of documents. Even flower pots and clocks. That masked man has never called nor seen too, and the phone that he used to call was found broken into pieces in a dumpster. The cold treatment Luigi is receiving from Hale just added weight of his distrust that is starting to grow. He also noticed that Hale's men has been tailing him ever since he was relieved from the office. He can tell with certainty that Hale is up to something.
"Hey lover boy, were you able to get over your love sickness?" William teased as he enter Luigi's room and found him scribbling on his desk. "I'm already over it so please stop teasing me," Luigi answered without lifting his head. "Are you still working on the poem?" the older man asked after glancing at the four short lines written on the paper at Luigi's right. "Ho, you're really trying all those crypto codes," he said in amazement. "Sir, being carefree as you are. Do you already know what this means?" Luigi asked finally stopping on his writing and glanced at William. He can tell by the smile on the old man's face that he has the answer he wanted to know.
"The answer being sought," William suddenly recited. "Left bare in a paradise that was lost. Hidden behind the dale, Persephone awaits behind the door of hell," William continued as he feels the words in his mouth. William suddenly bent over Luigi from across the table with anger painted on his face. "Don't you think it pertains to a hidden place?" William seethed in dismay. "Have you lost your brain chasing after that beggar?" he continued. Luigi was in shock of the sudden change of his master's mood that it took him a while to recover. "No sir, I'm not just really good in literature."
William pulled back and wore again his jolly face. "Should I hire a tutor for you? But we don't have enough time do we?" he asked and Luigi did not answer. William's face went dim again. "That man who stole the crest from my daughter must be using it for other purposes now as we waste time pondering on that stupid poem. We should retrieve it immediately." "Yes sir, that was a great help." William left after hearing that from the young man who still cannot discern the connection of the hidden place to Persephone and the door of hell. Who's Persephone anyway? He asked himself and browsed the web. A Greek goddess, queen of Hades, ruler of the underworld. It is a 'she' then?
It's been two months when Yleine returned to the mansion. She has been working on a lot of things that she never left her office. She's been busy working with Officer Bryan too, giving away confidential files, photographs, and videos. She can't afford to be participating on another race. That dream she had that night has kept her from the outside world for the mean time. Unconsciously, her fingertips searched for her face and neck that was burned. It left an awful scar along with her arms and legs. The only part unburned was her head, half of her face, neck, and torso. Strangely, it looked more suiting than the fair pearl-white skin she once had.
The key and the papers on that mansion was found while digging up at an old site. Since the owners are already gone, she used the wife's name as hers and made her ownership legal on the property. The transaction was done personally and there are no other spectators and electrical copy of it. Just the papers that she and the lawyer shares between them.
"Good God!" Luigi exclaimed in shock but his expression went grim after remembering Hale's men tailing him. I should watch out, he thought and checked the CCTV cameras in the building.
