Day 73
Morning

"Morning, my love." I wake up greeted by the shirtless prince who was sitting down on the floor. I guess he really slept there. "One of the maids came and told us we can come downstairs for breakfast in an hour."

"Ah, I should return to my room and fix myself then."

"You still look pretty even after just waking up."

"And you still choose to flirt right after waking up." I roll my eyes and get out of the bed. "See ya at breakfast then." With a quick wave, I exit his room and return to mine. Were I see a familiar female seated on my bed and digging through my stuff.

"Eve...?"

The girl stops what she's doing and looks at me. Her large green eyes scan my face. I suddenly realize she bares a huge resemblance to prince Lichter, the green eyes, and long black hair. Except hers was much longer and she had a fringe cut.

"Riselle!" She runs over to me and pulls me into a hug. "I heard the maids talking about a strawberry blonde girl come to the castle with the prince of Elleris! And I just knew it had to be you!"

"I'm glad to see you here Eve!" I hug back. "But uhm. Could you explain your sudden disappearance and what you're doing here?"

"Ah..." She pulled away. "How about we talk about that after breakfast! You go get ready hehe." She pushes me into the shower room. "We have a lot to catch up on so you better tell me all about it!" She giggles and shuts the door.

"My clothes are still in the bags!" I call out to her, and she once again opens the door and hands me my bag. "Thanks."

Besides how I knew nothing about her, we had a very close and comfortable friendship. She's usually very cheerful like Adria, but she avoids talking about herself.

Once I finish preparing myself for breakfast, I stand by the door looking at my good old friend that once left me without a word.

"What?"

"Hmph." I turn away from her and open the door.

"Riselle... I know you're mad at me, but I'll clear this all up later! Come now, I'll take you to where we'll be eating." She walks out ahead of me then knocks on the door to Rowan's room. "Prince Rowan, your beloved is done preparing."

"Wait- Eve!? I'm not his beloved, and what do you know about that?"

"I used to follow you around like you and I were bound to each other. I know more to you than you know about yourself." She turns to me and smiles.

The prince comes out of the room. His face held a very neutral expression and he did not say a word to me or Eve. And the two of us followed the girl to the dining table located on the first floor.

"It seems my dear sister is already acquainted with our guests! Lovely morning prince Rowan and his companion." Prince Lichter greeted us with a smile, he was already seated at the table.

"Dear sister?!" My jaw drops and I look at Eve. "Eve... You're the princess of Revellis?"

"Hehe, come on now Riselle. Take a seat." She tells me.

I sit down, narrowing my eyes at Eve. How much has this girl kept from me? Even as we ate, I continued to look at her with narrowed eyes. I could tell I was making her feel awkward but that was the whole point.

The two princes on the other hand talked about other things. I didn't bother to listen since It didn't have anything to do with me.

"So is this fine lady your fiancé?" I hear Prince Lichter ask and I almost spit out the orange juice I was drinking.

"She will be soon." Rowan smiles. From the side of my field of vision, I notice Eve glaring at him. When I turn to her, her expression immediately changes into a happy one. Very suspicious. Maybe she doesn't approve the idea of the prince marrying me.

"I wish you divine luck with that then. I've been looking for a potential wife too, but I just can't choose only one woman, I need at least ten of them!" Prince Lichter says dramatically and Eve sighs.

"With that mindset, you won't end up with even one woman brother."

"What do you mean? The ladies love me!"

The maids who stood at the side nodded their heads in agreement. "Prince Lichter is so dreamy!" One of them commented.

"Brother, you useless playboy." Eve puts her hand on her forehead. "This is why I'm glad to be the successor of the throne." She continues, and once again my jaw drops.

"Y-you?! To be the next ruler of Revellis?"

"Yeah! That's why I had to leave you so suddenly. I needed to prepare to become the next ruler. It was supposed to be Lichter, but father refuses to let him become the next to the crown. I'm sure you can understand why."

"Eve... You're so cruel!" Prince Lichter was pouting like a child.

"Unbelievable." Prince Rowan muttered. Then excused himself from the table. I soon realized he been acting a little off ever since Eve's presence this morning. Even after I mentioned her to him last night, he didn't seem to happy.

I apologize in place of Rowan, for his abrupt and inappropriate behavior. Even though I could tell something was bothering him, I didn't expect he'd just get up and leave. After that, the three of us continue talking about trivial things until we had finished eating.

"Riselle, can you come with me to my room?" Eve asks me.

"Of course." Now I can have a proper girl to girl chat with her!

She takes me to her room, which unlike the rest of her house, it was decorated with blacks and was very gothic. Black did always feel like Eve's color, so it wasn't very shocking to me.

"Do you love Prince Rowan?" Eve asks me as soon as she shuts the door. But the look on her face was not anything happy, but rather menacing.

"Why do you ask that?"

"Just answer the question."

"Uh. Okay." I bite my lip. She was acting very unusual. "I'm not sure. I keep telling myself that I don't want to marry, but If I'm being honest, it's hard to keep true to my word if it's Rowan. He keeps finding a way to mess with me."

"Oh my dear, dear Riselle." Eve comes closer to me and puts her hand on my cheek. "I can fix that for you."

"W-what do you mean?!" My face heats up. "You're going to make me gay for you?" I honestly wouldn't mind that either.

"Not quite, but I could do that too." She winks. "On a serious note, I was thinking of simply wiping your memory of the prince! Just like what I did when I found you crying when we were kids."

"Eve, I don't quite understand." I slowly back up. "Wiping memory? Hey don't play these kinds of jokes. It's not that funny..."

"I'm not joking. What, the prince hasn't told you about the little witch that wiped your memory after the death of the Queen of Elleris?"

"Eve... Seriously, don't make things up."

With every step back I take, she steps forward. Until I'm backed against the wall.

"I can get rid of those annoying feelings you have for that joke of a prince. Well, I kind of really want to. They're getting in the way of my feelings for you too."

No... No I don't want lose my memories of the Prince. I'll lose my memories of everyone else too!

"Don't worry my dearest. You won't feel any pain at all. I promise."
