Majesty Morgan.
You ever had that day where you just look up and ask God 'what you going to throw at me next?' I've been doing that for the past two days.
Grace was in the hospital on suicide watch. She broke down and cried again and promised us all that she was gonna be okay.
The funeral was yesterday. Grace didn't cry yesterday. I did. Kylee has been attached to my hip since Tracie's death well at least more than usual. My child is so wise it's like she knows what's going on. Tracie dying, Grace yearning for her mother, even her father hurting too.
Jeremiah is definitely going through something inside I'm just waiting for him to open up and talk to me. This is actually around the anniversary of the death of his parents.
I woke up this morning and he was gone.
"Morning," my Dad says as I walk out my room. He's depressed I know he blames himself.
"Hey Dad. You know where my daughter is?" Kylee slept with Jeremiah and I and I wake up and they're both gone.
"No... Ty wasn't in his crib either," my Dad says. I walk down the hall and open Grace's room door finding Tyrek and Kylee sleeping in Grace's arms.
"I don't know what to do, Majesty. Tracie's parents and Grace's father are both trying to gain custody of Grace, Tracie's parents are even trying to take Tyrek from me."
"They're just angry right now Dad everything will be okay. Grace is old enough and responsible enough to choose where she lives and for Tyrek you're his biological father he belongs with you there is nothing about you that is unfit. Once Tracie's parents calm down they'll agree and any judge would," I explain and he nods in agreement.
"Thanks baby girl. I love Grace you know she's like my own child I hope she doesn't hate me," my Dad says and a tear falls from his eye. "I love my kids I'd do anything for y'all." I hear sniffling and turn to see Tracie's parents standing there with boxes.
"Forget it, just... Take care of them and love them. The way we loved their mother," Tracie's mom says and hugs her husband crying.
"Mommy," I hear Kylee whine I turn around to see her reaching for me. I get Kylee out the bed and into my arms.
"Majesty she should be walking at eleven months," my Mom states appearing out the blue wearing a small smile.
"She spoiled to the core," Grace states getting up with an awake Tyrek.
"Seriously y'all need to let her walk you can't carry her forever," Tracie's Mom states.
"Maybe for a few more years," I say and they laugh a little, light laugh but hey it's better than all the crying.
"We're gonna go," Tracie's parents say and kiss Grace and Tyrek before leaving.
"So Grace you think you want to stay here with us," my Mom asks.
"Umm actually... I want to stay with MJ and Jeremiah," Grace states. Not only are my parents shocked but I am too.
"Grace I don't know about that they're college students and young and you know how Kylee J. got here so you know what they up to," my Mom states, Grace actually laughs a real laugh.
"Hey now...." They look at me waiting for me to finish. "We not that bad."
"I don't want to hear this," my Dad states running his hands through his black hair. "Speaking of Jeremiah he snuck out of here bright and early this morning in sweats and a hoodie."
"Daddy," Kylee whines.
"Stop crying," Tyrek fusses, he's such a bully and he's only a few months older than her.
"I want my Daddy," Kylee states putting her foot down. She gets that from me. I already know. The front door opens and Jeremiah walks in looking torn up emotionally but he quickly covers it up with a smile seeing us all in the living room talking. "Daddy!" Jeremiah takes Kylee from me and kisses her cheek.
"Hey everybody umm should we go get breakfast," he asks.
"Food," Kylee sings happily.
"You're such a weird kid," Grace says playfully to Kylee.
"Let's get ready and leave in about an hour or so," Jeremiah offers. My parents agree and so does Grace.
"I'll get Kylee J. dressed since I'm already ready," my Mom offers. Jeremiah hands Kylee to her.
"Thanks Mom," I say and follow Jeremiah upstairs to my old room. It's changed now. My parents redecorated and it has a much more adult look with a crib for Kylee. A wall was knocked down and a connected bathroom was added although it's small just a walk in shower, toilet and sink.
"Where did you go," I ask after getting into the room and closing the door behind us.
"I went to visit my parents, and brother," Jeremiah explains and runs his hand over his waves something he does when he's either nervous or uncomfortable.
"You okay," I ask and wrap my arms around him.
"I'm good," he states and pulls away. He knows I hate when he pulls away from me and isn't open with me.
"Talk to me," I say and sit down on the bed giving him my full attention. He distracts himself by finding an outfit.
"There's just a lot going on..." He decides on a pair of dark blue jeans a plain black tee and Jordan's.
"Jeremiah talk to me," I say folding my arms across my chest pouting a little.
"I'm just... Tired of losing people," he finishes and a single tear slides down his cheeks. "Something always has to happen when things are going good."I know I'm not the only one that can relate something always has to happen and I hate that truly. But yes, I updated again for my lovely readers even after a long day at work. Jeremiah Pov. next.
