Once Friday noon passed, Isabella found herself rushing through a busy airport, dodging people while herself trying to be on time. It didn't take long for her walk through the gate and board into the plane to Oregon, Portland. She could easily have taken a ride with a car, but she always hated long drives.Flying was the only rational choice she had.
When the plane landed, she took her luggage and waited patiently for Sabrina. She promised to meet her at the frown door, and to her surprise — that girl is always late — Sabrina was leaning against the car, one hand resting in the jeans pocket and another holding a phone.
"Hey, chicken." Smiling broadly, Isabella reached her sister, starling the younger copy of herself.
Pale green eyes snapped itself to similar ones and sparked with joy.
She lapsed info Isabella's arms. "Oh, Bella! You're here... I've missed you, big Dino!"
Isabella pulled herself away and looked down at the shorter, younger sister. Her naturally blonde hair was hidden underneath a layer of a lighter shade of brown dye, narrow, almond-shaped eyes were full of life — the same as she was a kid.
"I missed you too, Sab," Isabella murmured under the nose. "It's been long... too long since we've seen each other."
Last time Sabrina flew into Seattle was spring to congratulate for getting a promotion. Although they live just a state away, they rarely had time to meet. When Isabella decide to turn away from the family business, Sabrina was the one to who took over. Well, the Portland branch, which definitely was smaller than one in Manchester.
But nevertheless, the youngest child of the Landon family was busier than ever.
After realising it was getting late and Sun-rays started cast itself below the horizon, painting sky with light blue and orange colours, two sisters hit a road and raced themselves to a hometown where their mother spends most of the days.
Sabrina suggested sleep in her apartment in the centre of Portland, but Isabella declines not wanting to wait another day to see their mother.
"Who is Cassie?" Isabella blurbed out out of blue.
Sabrina looked up from the road, scrunching nose in confusion. "Um, my best friend? Casandra Danton... we met, ah yeah, you were living with dad in Manchester when I met her."
Isabella spends the last two years of her university in England, finishing a Graduating school and working under her father and grandfather.
"Right. Is... you know, normal?"
"What on earth that question supposed to mean, Isabella?" Sabrina's lips twitched defensively.
That came out wrong. Isabella thought, pushing lightly painted hair strand behind the air.
She tried to explain herself better. "Is she talk-able enough to not make this wedding preparation dreading experience? I don't have the time nor will to deal with unreasonable assholes."
"Look who is talking, miss-Stubborn."
Isabella glared at Sabrina. She knows her sister is avoiding the question by trying to throw playful comments. However, Isabella was tired from the flight and stressful day at work, her mind buzzed with a need for nap or alcohol.
She clenched her jaw and snapped. "I am stubborn indeed, but I can reason and agree on the ground middle. Can this Cassidy girl do the same?"
Sabrina sighed, drumming fingers against leathery wheel.
