"So.. You would subtract the three from twelve...then you would...?"

My best bud is over helping me with my homework. I don't know how I would pass without him.

"Then you would- wait, what is twelve minus three?"

"Umm... Nine!"

He slightly jumps when I yell Nine.

"Um, yea, then you would divide the nine by six and then what would your X be equal too?"

I take out my cellphone calculator and place the problem in.

"It's 1.5."

He smiles at me and pats my shoulder.

"Yep. It is."

I give a girly scream and hug him. He makes a 'ooff' noise when I pin him to my bed making his glasses fall off. Hugging him and nuzzling my head into his neck. I mummer thank you into his neck accidentally kissing his neck. I quickly shoot up to where I'm sitting on his lap. He has a surprised look on his face. I cover my own mouth and apologize.

"I-I I'm so sorry L-Luke. I-I-"

He places his finger to my lips.

"It's fine Beauty."

He takes my hands in his. I love it when he calls me 'Beauty'. He used to call me 'Sleeping Beauty' but that was just to long so he shortened it to 'Beauty'. He calls me that because my name is Aurora. You know, Princess Aurora? Sleeping Beauty's birth name? Of course you know who.

"Why are your hands so freakishly big?"

I say as he takes his index finger and traces circles on the back of my hand.

"Why are you so freakishly annoying?"

I giggle at him and lightly slap his chest.

"Oh no! She's killing me!"

"Oh yea?! Now I'm gonna get ya!"

I giggle at him and start to tickle his sides. He squirms underneath me trying to get away but failing miserably.

"Okay! Okay! I give! I give!"

He manages to say in between his fits of laughter. I smile at him and peck his cheek.

"Aurora-oh my..."

My mother steps into my room.

"Mum, it's sooo not what it looks like."

I smile at her then look at Luke who has a disappointed look on his face. He places his hands on my hips forcing me to get off as he reaches to the floor to get his glasses. He then proceeds to grab his math books and pens. He looks at me and then my mum.

"Goodbye. I'll see you later."

He kisses my cheek, quicker than usual. He hugs my mum goodbye then leaves.

"He likes you. Always has."

My mum tells me closing my bedroom door and sitting by me on the bed.

"Whaaaat? Me? Nah, we're just great friends mum. Nothing more nothing less."

Honestly I don't think I have those kind of feelings for Luke. He's sweet and a really nice guy but, I like having him as a friend, and I don't wanna mess that up. He's always been there for me and I've been there for him and he completely understands me. Just two years ago his mum and dad got divorced, and just last year his mum remarried a man who already had a son.
