Luke P.O.V.

In The Car Before Aurora

I text Aurora as soon as I wake up.

Me:
Hey. I'll be there to take you to school on about thirty minutes. Be ready.

She'll text me back later. She better. I'm on edge today and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I'm in love with Aurora and she doesn't love me or maybe it's because I have to watch out for Ashton. If he goes near her to day I swear to god I will kill him myself. He's not gonna hurt her.

I walk out of my room and bump into Michael. "Hey Luke." I look at him funny. He's high. Or drunk, he has to be. "Hi..." He puts his arms around me and begins to sob.

"Don't go to school today please? I know you're probably gonna go but don't, I can't protect you if you do. You have to stay home. I know we don't get along but I wanna start. I'm you're brother now and we have to be there for each other. So I'm here for you and I mean it."

I hug him back then I push him back just enough so I can see his face. "Why? Are you drunk or high?" He smiles at me and shakes his head no. "Just promise me you'll be careful today." He puts his hands in my hair and ruffles it a bit. I nod laughing at how childish he's being. I'm not sure if I should trust him or not. But he's right, he is my brother now so I should be able to.

"Damn, you wanna get with Aurora? Have your hair like this, put some gel in it and dammmmmn she won't be able to leave you alone!" He says patting my shoulder. I walk into the bathroom and my hair looks like I belong to One Direction. They are secretly my favorite band. If Mikey found out that I like One Direction he would laugh and tell everyone. "It's cool. But I think I'll just leave it the way it is for now." I take the comb and fix my hair back to normal. Michael shrugs and leaves the bathroom. I put on my red sweater vest and a pair of nice black pants along with my nice dress shoes. I feel it's better to be punctual than unpunctual.

"Good morning Luke, how'd you sleep?"

Daryl asks as I walk into the kitchen. "Good morning, I slept well thank you. How'd you and mum sleep?" I don't like calling him dad so I just call him by his first name. "We slept well." My mum says bringing me my bowl of cereal with a.... Banana Milkshake? "Why are you giving this to me now?" I ask. "I won't be home tonight, so I made you one for breakfast." I smile and kiss her cheek. "Thanks mum." She kisses Daryl then smiles at me. "You're welcome sweetie."

I finish eating then I get into my car and go to get Aurora. I'm gonna kiss her. I have to, just once. To get it out of my system. My phone goes off as I park the car outside of Aurora's house.

Beauty:
Okay. Are you mad at me?

I smile at her text. I'm not mad at her. Just annoyed.

Me:
I'm not mad, but I am here.

I sprint over to her as soon as I can see her. I pick her up in the air and hug her tightly. I move my head over to her neck slowly kissing and lightly sucking on her soft flesh. I move lower along her jaw line, then to her collar bone making her hit me a little. I don't care. I need to do this.

"Luke! You-you gotta, st-stop!"

She says trying to push me off. Im not gonna listen, I take her cheeks in my hands and crash our lips together. She pushes my hands on my chest but she slowly stops and moves her small arms around my neck putting her hands in my hair pulling me closer deepening the already passionate kiss. Our lips moving as one, She presses her tongue into my mouth and I accidentally moan into the kiss. She swirls her tongue around exploring every inch of my mouth. She's an amazing kisser, she tastes so good. I move my hands away from her face then we brake apart and look at each other.

"Let's go."

I take her hand and we get into the car. The car is silent. "Why'd you kiss me?" Aurora asks breaking the silence. "Too show you what you don't want." I say with sass. Why did I kiss her? I honestly don't even know. I just wanted to and I couldn't stop myself.

"Someone's on there monthly."

"If you're gonna say that then you've been on yours for way longer than you should be."

Shit. I didn't mean that, but then again it so is. I look at her she has a confused and frustrated facial expression. "You said you weren't mad at me..."

"I'm not. It's just.. I love you and I don't think we should be friends anymore... Or at least for a little while.."

That's what's best for now. Just to let everything cool down. "Why? I didn't.. Haven't done anything.. You kissed me Luke, not I kissed you. Why are you acting like this?" I hear her start to sob I pull over and reach over to her and pull her in for a hug. Why am I being such a douche to her. I wanna be her friend still and I can't believe I just said that to her. I run my fingers threw her long hair and kiss her head.

"I'm just upset okay? Forget everything I said and.. What I did.." But then again, please remember it. I kiss her head once more as she nods. I move back into my seat then restart the car.

"Do you have your homework?"

I asks while I parks the car. She nods and look out the window to see Ashton. Great, she's being all quiet then she looks at him and is smiling really? She's not gonna be with him. I pat her thigh making her jump and look at me.

"Don't. You promised you wouldn't."

"But-" I cover her mouth. "But nothing, you promised me an-"

"What the fuck are you doing you perv!" Ashton yells opening the driver side door pulling me out of the car. "Hey! Let me go!" I yell trying to get out of his grip. "You think you can stop me from being with her? You have another thing coming!"

He lifts me off the ground and throws me on the hood of the car. He then takes his right fist and punches me diagonally and then I hear a snap and get this enormous pain in my nose. He then takes another hit busting my glasses causing the glass to shatter. He punches me more and more making the glass go deep into my face. The blood dripping from my nose and face is getting in to my mouth and its getting hard to breathe. I hear the car door open and shut. "Stop! You're hurting him!" Aurora yells I can feel Ashton's punches going lower to my abdomen. "Hey man get off!" Michael yells. Is this why he said not to come today? I can't really see that much but then I feel Ashton getting completely off of me. I try to open my eyes but it hurts. I think there's glass in my eyes and around them. My frames are probably just sitting on my now.

"Ashton did this... He saw a misunderstanding then he attacked Luke." Aurora tells Mr. Cane? I think, I can hear only so much. My head feels like it's going to fall off. Aurora is crying and I can't comfort her the way I want, I feel her small hand holding mine. She puts her head on my chest, what is she doing? "Luke, squeeze my hand." I do as she says giving a small squeeze. "It-it hurts to.... To breathe.." I manage to speak out.

"Mr. Cane, call 911 now." I squeeze her hand once again not wanting her to leave me. "The ambulance will be here soon babe.." She tells me stroking my hair back. It's probably all bloody and now I'm gonna have blood in my hair. I feel something cold and small on my cheek. Ow! That hurts!

"I'm sorry, I'm just tryin to help.." She tells me. I'm getting tired. I shouldn't sleep tho. I could go into a coma. But I'm so... So... Tired..
