Kenma's golden eyes were shining brighter than ever. He looked out into the bright light, holding y/n's hand in his own.

"Kenma," y/n was mesmerized.

A world full of bright pink cherry blossoms stood among them. Petals were flowing through the cold wind, tracing the light green leaves. Trees stood on both sides of a long path covered in pink flowers.

This was one of the most beautiful things y/n had ever seen, other than Kenma of course.

She shifted her gaze over to him, seeing his twinkling golden eyes staring out into the paradise of cherry blossoms. He turned his head and met her eye contact, letting out a little smile.

The two of them started walking hand in hand down the flowered path. Petals were flying in all directions, gracefully falling towards the ground.

It was absolutely gorgeous. Fluffy clouds filled up the blue sky. Y/n looked upwards, her eyes catching onto the sight of light pink petals circling through the air. It smelled like powdered sugar, the perfect flowers brightening up the air.

A strand of Kenma's pudding-like hair fell in front of his face, covering one of his eyes. He was gorgeous. Simply beautiful. Y/n admired everything about him. But still, she felt she wasn't good enough.

Her bright smile slowly started to fade away as thoughts continued to circle through her mind. Kenma quickly noticed, but he started to panic as usual. He knew nothing about his own emotions, let alone other people.

"Y/n..." he stopped and turned to face her. She tilted her head downwards as small tears started to form in her eyes. She didn't want him to see her like this. She was weak. She was so weak.

Kenma tightened his grip around her arm and pulled her to the side of the trail. They sat on a small bench, surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms. There wasn't a human insight other than the two of them.

Kenma's mind was racing. What was he supposed to do. Y/n was on the edge of breaking down, and it was most likely his fault. He wrapped his arms around her neck, leaning her head into the side of his chest.

"Pudding..." Kenma muttered. Y/n's eyes widened. Did he just call her... pudding?

He traced his fingers through her hair, holding her closer to himself. She didn't deserve the pain that she went through. She didn't deserve him. But, he could never put those thoughts into words. He didn't have the confidence to tell her. And he never would.

"I love you," he said. Those words calmly slid out of his mouth. He tried his best, and he knew that it wasn't good enough. But at least he had never lied to her. She was his soulmate, the love of his life.

"I-I'm sorry," y/n sniffled, as she lifted her head out of his shoulder. Tears rolled down her cheeks rapidly, her eyes were compassionately embarrassed. She refused to make eye contact with the pudding-haired boy. He did nothing to deserve this. Yet, he still held her hand.

"Why?" Kenma asked, trying to find a reason for her sadness. He hated seeing her like this. He wanted everything to end. He wanted to live in a perfect world where she never had to downgrade herself. She was everything he could've ever imagined, even more. But boy, he could not force himself to say it.

"I'll never be enough," y/n cried. Her hand slid away from Kenma's slowly. She cupped her hands around her face, trying to avoid eye contact with Kenma.

He didn't know how to react. He was stuck in this neverending loop of question. He wanted to tell her everything that was on his mind. But he couldn't.

"I know I can't express myself through words well, but I love you, y/n. I always have, I always will. I hate seeing you like this, you're everything to me, I couldn't ask for anything more. Stop telling yourself that you aren't good enough. If anything, I'm not good enough. I can't live without you, y/n. I hope you know this."

She raised her head from her hands and looked straight into Kenma's golden eyes. She never expected this from Kenma, it startled her.

"W-why?" she stuttered, shifting her gaze away from him once again.

His face burned red. He hated talking so much, but even more, he hated seeing her so self-degrading. A burning pain started growing in Kenma's stomach, and he wasn't sure if it was y/n's pain or if it was just his rampaging thoughts trying to force him into helping her.

Everything in his mind told him to tell her what was in the locket. He wanted to show her. Now. But he couldn't.

"Y/n..." he smiled at her, raising his hand to the level of her face. He traced his thin fingers down her jawline, moving her head to face his. He looked deep into her dark e/c eyes. They were filled with passion and love. These were the eyes that he wished to see every morning and every night. He wanted to see them when they lit up in happiness, and when they died down in tears.

Her lips were curved into a soft motion, a small separation between the two of them. He could see her white teeth, shining through the small crack. Her lips looked so soft and smooth, so loveable. Everything about them were perfect.

He leaned forward and placed his lips onto hers. They were warmer than usual, which Kenma adored. He deepened the kiss, sliding his fingers through her silky hair.

He loved her. So much.
