The blood drenched couple crawled to be closer to each other. Finally getting close enough to clasp hands. " Luce... " The Dragon prince said with a raspy voice. " Natsu... " She smiled back at him. " I'm sorry... I couldn't protect you. I broke my promise " He said, tears streaming down his scaly cheeks. " It's alright Natsu.... I don't care.... Because you loved me.... That's all I need " She said. " Luce... " He said. " I was a woman with a child out of wedlock. You didn't care. You took care of my baby boy as if he was your own. " She smiled.
" I love you so much " She said, also crying now. " I love you Luce " He replies. They tighten their grasp. " We'll meet again some day Natsu I promise " She smiled. He smiled back, before the two both fall down, out of energy. What little life force they had left being pulled away from them. Even so, their hands stayed clasped. The promise between soulmates can never be broken.
Beep... Beep... Beep... Beep... Beep—
Lucy hit the snooze button on her alarm clocked. Same dream every night... She thought. She yawned and gets up out of bed. She smacks her face to wake herself up even more. Then she ate breakfast and takes a shower, before proceeding to do the rest of her morning routine. She gets dressed in a white pineapple crop hoodie, light blue jeans, and black high top vans. She grabs her phone, and bag, homemade bento, an iced tea, and a water bottle. She puts on her glasses, then she walked out, while fixing her hair into two low pigtails that reached her waist.
~At School~
Lucy sat in class. She finished the last question in the worksheet she was given. The door was opened. Everyone looked over as usual. " Heartfilia " They said. Lucy stood up, walking to the other room. It was like an interrogation room in a prison. At least that's what it felt like to Lucy. She has to come here everyday to solve ridiculous puzzles to 'keep her IQ at a high level'. She sits down in the chair in front of the 'scientists' that have been testing her IQ since she was in kindergarten. They placed several objects on the table.
A wooden circle puzzle, a Pentamix, a Pot Shaped cube puzzle, a 3D Gear Mechanic, and a Pyramid Rubik's. She solved each of them in under 1 minute. They wrote something down on their clip boards before giving her the second wave. A Curvy Rubik's cube, a void puzzle, a Quadruple 2x2 cube, a Windmill Rubik's cube, a Twist Stickerless Speed cube. Once again she solved it in under a minute. They wrote down something else on her performance before the next wave began
A Star-shaped Rubik's cube, a 16 Roulette Wheel IQ Rubik's cube, a Pentagon Rubik's cube, and a Hexed Rubik's cube. And once again it's all solved in under a minute. Now on the fourth wave. A written test. After a few minutes, she turned in the papers. They checked the answers. They were all correct like always. And then the Final wave. A memory test. They placed a deck of cards, in the order of spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds. She had to remember what the exact place of the cards were. She got 15 seconds to take it all in.
And she passed the wave as well. " All perfect scores once again. " The leader congratulated her. Like always. Things are the same. So predictable... Lucy thought boredly. Then the psychiatrist came in. Lucy always gets counseling every day. After the tests, to talk it over or something. She doesn't understand any of this.
~There~
" So Lucy. How are you feeling about everything today? " She asked. " It's the same everyday. I feel indifferent " She shrugged. The woman wrote it down. " And, I'm told that you are asked to tutor someone. How does that make you feel? " She asked. " It doesn't make me feel anything. I don't care. I just do the job and get it over with " She said. " Lucy, are you still having the same dream that you told me about? " She asked. " Yes " Lucy groaned annoyed. " Please, explain the dream " She said. Lucy rolled her eyes. I tell you everyday why do you wanna hear it again? She thought.
" First it's these two people. Obviously my ancestor who could pass as my twin, and that same scale covered boy. His name is Natsu. They're cover in blood and crawl to each other, then clasp hands. They call each others names. Natsu apologizes for not protecting Lucy doesn't care. She told him that all she needed was the love he gave her. She had a child out of wedlock and apparently he didn't care and raised the child as his own. Then they say 'I Love You' and Lucy promised that they'd meet again some day " She explained.
" And on top of that, like always, there's some weird deep voice narrating the whole thing " She added. " How do you feel about this dream? " She asked. Lucy was a little surprise. She always asked about the dream, but never asked how she felt. " I don't know... it's confusing. I mean, maybe she meant me when she said that they'd meet again, but I don't any Natsu's at all. It's one of the few things I can't explain logically. " She shrugged. " What do you think about the union of the princess and the dragon, contrary to the princess and the prince? " She asked.
" It's much better " She said. " Why do you think so? " She asked. " So many times the princess has fallen for the prince that it's getting annoying. It's so predictable " Lucy said. " How so? " She asked. " It's because the princess will fall for the prince who bravely ventured out to save her. It makes me wanna puke. If the princess actually for the big scary dragon it was be much more interesting. I would definitely watch something like that " She said. " Well, it seems that our time is up " She said looking at her watch. Thank god! Lucy thought happily.
" Sa— " She was saying but she was cut off by Lucy. " Same time tomorrow. I know. It's the same, so predictable " She said before walking away.
~With Natsu~
" I hear your old man is forcing you to have a tutor " Gray said. " Tch...! " Natsu replies annoyed. " I bet it's gonna be some annoying nerd " He sighed, sitting up from his laid back position. " They'll probably turn tail and run once they see you " Gajeel jokes. Jellal walked up to the rooftop, opening the door. " Yo. Where were you? Did you get lost on your way to the bathroom? " Gray asked. " Nah. I overheard some girl talking about a dream about Natsu " He said. " What's new? " He shrugged.
" That's not all. She says she doesn't know any Natsu's at all. Yet you showed up in her dreams last night " He said. " Really? " Gajeel asked. He nodded. " I dunno know what to tell you " Natsu shrugged. " You should see her " Gray said. " Do you know what she looks like? " Natsu asked. " No... " Gray said. " Then how the hell am I supposed to go see her dumbass?! " He asked. " Jellal probably knows? " He said unsure. Jellal shakes his head. " I only heard it through the closed door. " He said. " Oh well. You two might meet soon enough " Gajeel shrugged.
