Chresanto's P.O.V

We've been in the hospital for over an hour waiting to here about Veah. I'd be lien if i said i wasnt scared. What if someone those wrong ? Or she lose to much blood ? Or-

Jacob: Chres

I looked up at him and kissed his cheek.

Me: wassup

Jacob: stop over thinking she's ok.

Me: how did yo-

Jacob: you get this certain face when your in deep thought. You usually smile if its positive but if not you just look like you wanna cry sometimes.

Me: im sorry but its just hard. Iv had 3 and two i didnt even know about until later on. I'd officially loose it if i ever lost another

Jacob: i'd loose it to. Veah's like my own child Chres. I love that lil girl to death

Me: and she loves you to Jay just like i do

He smiled and pecked my lips. This is why i love Jacob. He tries to see the good in the worse situations. I looked over to see Jeff and Craig sleep. The doctor came out with her clipboard and other mess and me and Jacob quickly hopped up.

Doctor: Neveah Jaliee M. August

Me: thats us

Doctor: your daughters fine Mr.August. No need to worry. She was hit with a rubber bullet which cant kill her but did cause her to loose blood. She's awakw if you want to see her.

Jacob: when can she go home ?

Doctor: in cases like this she has to be evaluated and you to would have to speak to CPS before you cou-

Me: what ?! Talk to CPS for what ?! Im not a danger to my child and id never put her in danger !

Doctor: Sir please calm down. There just gonna ask you a few questions

I nodded and she walked away. Im not giving up my child. Even if that mean packing our shit and leaving this fucking country. I was beyond mad ! One thing happens and Child Protective Service wanna take her away from me !

Jacob: Chres calm down. There not going to take her because your a great dad. They'll see that and understand that.

I nodded and kissed his cheek. He grabbed my hand and we walked into Veah's room. She was sitting up on the bed in her little gown drinking a juice box and eating chips.

Me: you eating already !?

Veah: DADDD- ow !

Me: be easy baby girl your side is gonna hurt for a while ok

I said rushing over to her and holding her side while sitting on the bed. She nodded and smiled.

Veah: JACOB- ow !

Me: what did i just say !

Veah: sorry im just happy

Jacob: me to

Veah: what you happy for Jacob ? Huh huh huh ?

Me and Jacob laughed at her sudden outburst

Jacob: scoot over and i'll tell you.

She quickly scooted over and He laid down next to her and played with her hair.

Jacob: im happy because your ok. You had me so worried about you. Everyone was worried. I just love you a lot.

Veah: REALLY ? How much ?

Jacob: this much

He opened his arms really wide and she laughed doing the same. I smiled at there little father daughter bond, or should i say mother daughter bond.
