"I can't wait to have a gym battle again!"Ash says when they walk in Celadon City."I know, it's great to be back in business!"James says."You guys can have your fun but there's a contest here! It's been so long since I've been in one!"Jessie says."And I've decided to do a contest this time they sound like fun!"Misty says."Well it seems like everyone has something to do besides me.Though there is a Pokémon breeder contest to show off how well you've raised your Pokémon in a battle!"Brock says."Well I I guess it's time to prepare!"Jessie says and the group agree to do some last minute training.

Pikachu is working on dodging attacks, Pidgeotto and Butterfree are doing the same, Marowak learns flame wheel and is getting used to his new body, Bulbasaur learns Magical Leaf and is helping Ash's mom in the garden, Charmander learns Flame Burst, Squirtle is working on his accuracy, Krabby learns Icy Wind and is sparring with Gary's Krabby, Growlie learns Crunch and is helping Charmander with his Fire type moves, Carnivine learns Magical Leaf, Meowth learns Taunt, Koffing tries learn Flamethrower but it's more of a ember, Weepinbell learns Infestation, Magikarp learns Flail, Ekans learns Crunch, Spearow learns Feint Attack, Beedrill learns Pin Missile, Goldeen learns Waterfall, Staryu learns Thunder Wave, Gyarados learns Ice Fang, Oddish learns Magical Leaf, Horsea learns Dragon Breath, Tentacool learns Poison Jab, Geodude learns Rock Blast, Ryhorn learns Drill Run, Onix learns Rock Slide, and Zubat learns Cross Poison.

"So what I think we should do first is go shopping for some supplies, we haven't picked up any in a while.I hear that there's a new department store here."Brock says."Well I guess we can go."Ash says and they go to the store.

"Hey Pikachu what do you think about getting this Thunder Stone, this way we won't have to back track if you want to evolve?"Ash ask and Pikachu scared jumps off of Ash's shoulder."Pikachu what is it, if you don't wanna evolve you could just tell me no."Ash says."Pika!Pikachu!Chu!"Pikachu says."He says dat it brings back bad memories."Meowth says."Well I understand."Ash says."Well I at least got something for Weepinbell, turns out she evolves with a Leaf Stone.Of course when she's ready."James says."And I got Staryu a Water Stone so she can evolve when she wants to."Misty says."Hey where's Brock?"Meowth ask."Don't you dare make a where's Perry the Psyduck joke."Jessie says.

"Brock there you are let's go!"Ash says trying to pull Brock to the elevator."Ash stop pulling me, can't you see I'm trying check out some perfume."Brock says."Why do you need perfume?"Ash ask."Ladies like a man who doesn't smell."Brock says."Well this lady would like to leave."Jessie says pulling at Brock's ear."Would you like to buy our newest perfume?"A female employee ask Jessie."I'm not wasting my money thank you very much."Jessie says."You can't be serious!"She says."Look we're not looking to waste any more money."Ash says."Jessie Ash, don't be so mean!"Misty says."What do you mean by waste of money?!"What looks like the manager says."Look sister if you lived like I did as a kid calling it a waste of money is the nicest thing to call it."Jessie says."Jess I don't you're being the nicest person right now."James whispers."I've heard enough get off this floor and never come back!"The manager says to the group and they step in the elevator.

"Ash and Jessie what were you thinking we're probably banned for life from that store!"Brock says."Correction, me and Jessie are banned for life from that store."Ash says and Brock sighs.

The group try to walk in the gym but they have problems."What do you mean we can't go in!"Ash says."If you insult the property of the gym means you're not worthy to  challenge the gym!"One of the gym trainers say."Why can't I go in I didn't insult anyone!"James says."Any friend of them is a enemy to us."One says."What seems to be the problem here?"A women says."This little Caterpie insulted your store!"A gym trainer says."Well I feel so bad for him to not understand how important perfume is."The women says."Wait are you Erica?"Brock asks."Yours truly."Erica says."I'm such a big fan of your product, my little sisters love it!"Brock says.

"And here's your gifts."Brock says to his four little sisters."Oh we love them so much!"Brock's sister named Cindy says easily seen lying besides to Brock and Brock walks away to his other siblings."Just smile and wave girls, smile and wave."Brock's other sister Yolanda says.

"Why thank you, now the best thing to do is forgive I'll give you both a gym battle."Erica says."Now that's better!"Ash says."Ash you can go first."James says."Thanks, now let's battle!"Ash says.

"Go Tangrowth!"Erica says."Go Pidgeotto!"Ash says."Tangrowth use Vine Whip to bring Pidgeotto to the ground!"Erica says and Pidgeotto is pulled down to the ground."Pidgeotto use grounded Quick Attack!"Ash says and Pidgeotto rams into Tangrowth."Tangrowth use Ancient Power!"Erika says and Pidgeotto is sent flying but quickly recovers."One super effective move won't take us down.Pidgeotto use Air Slash!"Ash says and Tangrowth is hit."Tangrowth use Leech Seed!"Erica says and small vines start to wrap around Pidgeotto."Pidgeotto use Steel Wing !"Ash says and Pidgeotto flies at Tangrowth wings coated in Steel."Tangrowth use Bind to hold Pidgeotto in place.The vines of Leech Seed begin to glow red and Pidgeotto flinches while some of Tangrowth's wounds begin to heal.Ash mind.(Think Ash think.How do I get out of this situation.Oh I know.)"Pidgeotto use U-turn!"Ash says and Pidgeotto glows green and kicks Tangrowth before being returned into her Pokeball and out comes Butterfree."Butterfree use Bug Bite!"Ash says and Butterfree's teeth glow green and Butterfree bites Tangrowth who faints.
