Chapter Two

(Y/n)'s POV

I don't exactly have a driver's license or a car yet, so I've just been taking a bus to get from place to place. The Ninja's have offered me vehicles, but I'd rather work hard for my own.  I don't want things to just be handed to me.

Once I arrive at the meeting place, I see Nya, Jay, Zane, Cole, and Kai already there. Lloyd isn't here yet.

"Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late." Lloyd says entering the room.

"Kai was late too." Zane says smiling.

Lloyd and I both make eye contact, but he quickly looks away.

I guess he still doesn't want to talk.

3rd person POV

"Why is she here?" Lloyd whispers into Kai's ear.

"Because I asked her to come. She could help us out a lot. And I thought... maybe you two could talk things out." Kai whispers back.

"Hell, no." Lloyd quickly responds.

"Come on. What happened between you two in that room when you were alone? Could it really be that bad?"

Lloyd ignores Kai's pleas and walks away from him and stands so he's in front of everyone.

"I called you all here because of this." Lloyd says showing them a picture on his phone with a symbol on it.

"Your dad? Lord Garmadon?" Cole asks as he notices what the symbol resembles.

"They call themselves 'The Son's of Garmadon'." Lloyd replies.

Zane being the knowledgeable one, tells everyone about them and that they are criminals.

They continue to talk, but (Y/n) wasn't listening. She's too focused on her thoughts.

(Y/n)'s POV

Why is it skipping some of the seasons? It just went from season 4 to like season 8, I think. Maybe it happened while I was back in New York?

If Morro was supposed to escape from the cursed realm when we sent Chen and his army there, then where is he now? And why hasn't he shown himself?

A guy named Mr. Hutchins walks in and explains the three Oni masks to us.

The royal family is in possession of one of the masks and Mr. Hutchins is worried that the Sons of Garmadon may try to steal it during the public speech the emperor is giving.

"We could use your assistance, that is, if you can keep a low profile." He says with his arms behind his back.

"We are Ninja. No one will know we are there." Zane says as he presses a button and his appearance changes along with his voice to make him sound less like a nindroid and more human.

I pull Kai's sleeve to try and get his attention. The others continue to talk amongst themselves.

"What?" Kai asks, giving me his fulls attention.

"I don't know about this." I say hesitantly as I suddenly found the floor very interesting.

"Oh, yeah. You've never really gone on a mission with us, have you?" I shook my head.

"It's a stealth mission and you're pretty stealthy. So you have nothing to worry about." He gives me a reassuring smile.

"I guess. I don't know. I just have a really bad feeling." That and I don't want Lloyd anywhere near the princess.

It's almost time to head out to where the public speech is being held. All the Ninja's are getting ready for the mission.
