I rubbed my eyes feeling the light of the sun beam through the windows of my room. I placed my arm on Tyler side of the bed feeling it empty. I laid there knowing he was gone, tears began to flow down my face. Why when everything was starting to fall into place did this have to happen. I got up wiping the tears from my eyes. I got up slowly wrapping my bear body with my robe, I walked to the closet were his clothes once stood. They were all gone, I looked down broken. I walked out of my room into the kitchen were I saw a note written it said

Cassie, you will always be in my heart and I know I will always be in yours but this was just bad timing for us. You still love Paul and I just don't want to be that person thats hold you from being happy. I know I didn't have no right to decide for you but I see it in your eyes that you truly love him. I love you always and forever

- Tyler

I sat on the couch holding the letter that Tyler left for me, all I could think about was Tyler. Why did I have to ruin the one thing that was going great. I placed my head in between my knees crying letting every emotion come out. This pain was bearable but it wasn't something I wanted to feel. I stood up staring at the photo frames that where hanging on the wall, some were with me and Tyler happy. I walked around the house touching every little piece of furniture that brought back memories. From us moving in to the very first dinner we had in the house, the laughter that was now overtaken by sadness.

I walked toward my bedroom standing right in front of my mirror, wiping the tears from my eyes. These things happen for a reason, maybe I saw Paul at the hospital for a reason. Maybe those words he told me in that elevator were real, I did miss him. But I tried to bury him since I was with Tyler. I wanted to move on but truly inside he was still there, in every memory in every moment, in every thought he appeared. No matter how much I pushed it away, I walked towards by closet reaching for a box I had hidden in under my clothes. I took the box placing it on my bed, opening it slowly I grabbed a photo that I had kept for a while. Tyler never knew I had this box, I looked at the photo in my hands. Wiping some tears from my face I rubbed his face gently with my thumb.

Memory

"Paul you are so annoying" he took a few steps closer to me placing some of the whip cream on my face "Paul, stop" I said laughing trying to push his hand away. I grabbed the milkshake, pretending to throw it at him. He flinched, covering his face from the impact but I just started laughing holding my stomach from the pain of laughter. He looked at me with furrowed eyes "Oh, I see you" he says coming towards me. He begins to tickle me, while I try to push him off "Please, Paul am going to pee on myself" he laughs placing a kiss on my cheek.

He lets me go, I grab onto him placing a kiss on his cheeks. He leans his head back "You are so beautiful" he says holding onto my waist. He smiles grabbing his milkshake and taking a sip out of it. He looks back up towards me making eye contact with me. I couldn't believe it I burst out laughing, he looks at me confused "What?" he asks I look towards the counter where the polaroid is placed "Wait, Ill show you" I pick up the polaroid taking a picture. It prints out a photo, I grab it slowly shaking it and watch it slowly reappear a photo of Paul with milk on his mustache. I hand it to Paul who starts laughing with me "Oh so you think thats funny" he says grabbing my arm and pulling me closer to him.
