Finding new hope

Chapter 2

I walked over to where Chiaki was. She was talking to a blonde girl.
"Hi, Hajime" Chiaki said when she saw me approach them.
"Hi Chiaki"
"Hajime, this is my friend Sonia. Sonia this is my boyfriend Hajime"
"Hi Hajime" I said hi back. I couldn't help but notice that her smile seemed a little forced when she said hi to me but I tried not to think too much of it.
After I talked with the two of them for a bit it was time for us to board the bus. Chiaki took my hand and we went and sat on the bus.

We got to where we were staying it was a type of campsite. When we arrived the teacher told us that the boys and girls would room separately.
"Bullshit" I heard someone say behind me I turn and see the short blonde guy I and he the girl I saw with him before asleep on his shoulder. He glared at me and I quickly looked away.
We got off the bus and I walked to the boys cabin I didn't know who anyone was so I was kind of nervous. When I walked in I saw six bunk beds, most people were already bunking with someone. The pink haired guy and the edgy looking guy, the blonde guy and the short guy and two people were alone on their bunk beds.
The short guy I saw before pushed past me and walked over to a bunk bed. I saw the white haired boy ask him something but the I heard the blonde guy say
"Will you just shut up?"
He walked to bunk next to his. I saw he was the only person left I could bunk with. I walked over to him
"Hey can I bunk with you?"
He looked shocked for a second, like he was surprised I asked him
"Sure I'm sorry your stuck bunking with trash like me"
I was taken aback by his sudden self depricating. I was putting my stuff on the top bunk when I heard someone say something.
"You're really bunking with him?"
I turned and saw it was that blonde guy.
"Yeah, why?"
What was wrong with me bunking with him? He seems fine. The guy just scoffed and went back to texting. (Probably texting Peko lol)
That was weird so I put my stuff on my bed and saw everyone was talking amongst themselves. I saw the edgy guy and the pink haired guy playing with hamsters? I wonder where the hamsters came from, this class seems to be an odd bunch.
I decided it might be a good idea to make some friends even though I've never been very good at that. The guy that I'm bunking with seems nice. So I get all of my courage and walk over to him.
"I haven't introduced myself yet, I'm Hajime Hinata"
"I'm Nagito Komaeda" he answers
"Do you mind if I sit with you?" I asked him
"Sure"
So I sat down and we started talking he was very nice and easy to talk to. I don't know why the other guy didn't seem to like him. He told me he was the ultimate lucky student which seemed cool. I would like to consider Nagito my friend.
Eventually it got a little later and people were starting to head to dinner, well the people that were still here. While we were walking to where they served the food Nagito was telling me who everyone was.
As he was doing that Chiaki came up to us.
"Hi Nagito and Hajime I see you guys have met"
"Yes we have" I tell her
"Hajime is my boyfriend the one I've been telling you about"
She said taking my hand which didn't feel right being held in hers.
"Oh right I remember you telling me about your boyfriend" Nagito said smiling at Chiaki
We all went to get dinner together. After dinner Ibuki burst in
"Guys there are going to be s'mores later!!"
She seemed very exited Mikan ran in behind her.
"Wait don't leave me behind"
As Ibuki was comforting Mikan the rest of us got up and went to where there were s'mores.
"Is it ok if I go with Sonia?" Chiaki asked me
"Of course go ahead" she ran off to go see Sonia so it was just me and Nagito. We walked to where there were s'mores.
"Do you like s'mores?" I asked him
"I've never had them before I don't really know how to make them"
"Oh I'll show you" I said taking one of the skewers and putting a marshmallow on it. I gave it to him and when he put it over the fire I put my hand around his and helped him roast it.
After I helped him put together his s'more. I saw his eyes light up when he tried it
"Is it good?"
"Yes!"
His excitement made me giggle, I was really glad that I had already made a great new friend on this trip.
