Diary Of a Shoe

Rescued?

I hear a noise

Voices!

But they're unfamiliar...

Then I see some dudes to my right. They came for us!!

I try to start jumping around to alert them of my location, but then I realize I do not have legs because I am a shoe. If I had a foot inside me, I could jump. But as I do not, I cannot.

One guy, a particularly young one, comes over and sees Mer and Cristina leaning against a rock. He proceeds to yell for backup and asks them if they're hurt.

"I don't know, I only have one shoe!" Cristina says.

She didn't forget about me!!

"Ma'am, we can't go back to look for your shoe. The rubble is too unsafe. The airline will buy you a new pair." The young man said. 

Colin. That was his name.

Just then, his friends come over and they get the doctors and bring them out of there. All in the span of half an hour.

I wait

Silence

Then it dawns on me

I'm all alone in the woods
